Another interesting video RM
👍👍👍 This channel just keeps delivering the goods...
May I ask what yous were going to do if you caught the laughing policeman??

The worst thing you can do is acknowledge the jammer on the air. Exactly what they want and assures they will be back tomorrow.

There's a whole world out there most of us know nothing about.  Another hit, thank you.

£10 says you have a copycat within a month of this going up.

Top tip when hunting a radio abuser use alternative forms of communication to keep your activities secret.

12:12 You could say he had a touch of van aerial disease.

9:23 “Can anyone pick me up with my dog. My dog would like to introduce himself to him” 😂

Used to be when they found a radio abuser they give him a job on Top of the Pops.

There will always be people who want to spoil things for others, no matter what it is. It's how they get their kicks, being contrarian.

It was a guy named Eric bolton , lived in scapegoat Huddersfield and was a radio engineer and cb rig doctor and also repaired loud speakers he worked for the police before getting sacked in relation to missing ht600e sets and going to work for mold communications, he had access to their repeater network which could be over the wire programmed, they would multicast out from various hillside repeaters on masts from Winter hill to saxton wold. Sheffield attercliff in the south and westerton Otley in the north, sites at saddleworth, Rochdale, Oldham mumps and a few others .
You would never track it down as it was  coming from everywhere at once .

I work at a department store and we had somebody jam the signal of our radio-based call assistance buttons. They usually play a prerecorded message telling us which area to go to but all the sudden they were replaced by a monotone text-to-speech voice saying off names of non-existent assistance buttons. They started off normally and with names of actual departments before they went to the non-existent one and went from regular paced to rapid fire, followed by them becoming distorted, several minutes of silence, and then loud extreme metal music that lasted for a few more. Admittedly as a viewer of the channel I became excited and tried pinpointing the location of the jammer based on finding where to get the clearest reception, but then it stopped on its own.

OP is laughing policeman 😂😂😂❤

I love the sight of a tower at night especially towers that are painted red and white

The laughing police man would scare the fk out of a security guard walking in a dark place

Lmao! Got funnier the more I heard the interruptions.

I remember a situation like this near me long time ago now there was a user  that thought he owned every channel on cb radio he was rude and abusive . Us cb ers found him by chance and unscrewing  our aerials and him still coming over loud  I hammered a nail through his coax. He then went mobile trying to find us we sat at the tip of a multi story car park when we saw him we unscrewed aerial  again and briefly transmitted but our signal droped and he couldnt  find us. After that cb was pleasant adain

On a related topic there was a person who set up a transmitter near a repeater on Mt diablo. It was a baufang with an exterternal  battery, set to vox transmitvand conneted to an mp3 player. The MP3 file had long sections of quiet with recordings distributed throughout the hours long looped audio file. The contraption was barried in cement in an ammo can with oly the antenna exposed and camouflaged and then hung in a tree. It was several days before radio hunters found it and disabled it.

THIS IS THE SIX O'CLOCK NEWS, WITH RINGWAY MANCHESTER!!!!

This reminds me of the Geocaching Thief in the Rome, NY area almost 20 years ago.  The guy would go out and steal caches within a day or two of them being published.  Within a 90 minute radius of Rome, there were zero caches to find for almost 2 years.  One day someone confronted a guy looking suspicious at a newly placed cache and he ran off into the woods.  Cops we're called, they found other cache containers in his car.  It went to court, he didn't get in any trouble, and never admitted he did anything, but Geocaching boomed in the area after.  Not sure why he had such a fanatical desire to ruin the hobby for everyone else, but he put a lot of time and effort into stealing them.  There was backlash too from outside the area about arresting people over taking caches that are intentionally placed in public spaces, but I don't think people realize how dead the hobby was in the area because of this guy.

I know it wasn't radio related, but the parallels this drew for me really hit home.  It was quite a fascinating time and look into the phycology of people's thinking.

BTW, I really love that picture of the city at night below with all the warm glow of sodium lights.  I forgot how peaceful it all used to look

Best jamming story I heard was the flying instructor jamming a Californian repeater while in flight ✈️📻
