Game 1 was insane. It looked like Worlds all over again.

That game 1 was crazy

Good to see BJ smile at the end. He was so emotionless throughout, so focused, almost non-human.

@ppa please add spoiler time at the end of matches so we dont know who is going to win after game 1 when it takes 35 minutes and the video is 50. Thanks!

Love you guys, Ben Johns and Gabe Tadior

Funny to think Strasrud and Patriquin as underdogs. They did great! Next time!

Hayden not having sideburns looks so goofy, he’s one of my favourites, but that hairdo is so silly looking.

PPA needs a better camera for sure, feels like I'm watching a 1980s telly

That last DBH dink-roll was executed perfectly by Johns. Exactly the right angle, force, and spin, it looked effortless and harmless until it hit the ground and spun out of big H's reach. Beautiful. H and Staks had their chances to win. Unfortunately, they both took turns choking at key points in both games and let the games/match slip away from them.

That wasn't a "get out of the way, H" shove by Fed. It was an excited reaction - positive.

I hadn't watched pickleball for a couple of months, and then, to my chagrin, the first thing I heard was Dave?'s unbounded babble. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh !

0:29 - ben adjustment on good drop. Step back. Curl dink
0:51 - fed coming in hot after drop
1:39- hayden flick
1:52 - hayden goes between
2:41 - hayden putaway

This was one of the most intense clashes i've seen in PPA semifinals.. Hayden was on a mission and practically in beast mode. Barely dinking, just maximum mobility and speed ups to firefights - and he was winning them! Gabe was completely outplayed by Hayden. The weak link was Fed not being able to protect the high powerful speedups from Ben.
