She literally wanted to go naked for the movie "the island" but Michael Bay didn't want her to. And then she says shit like this.

Scarlet Johansson denouncing the male gaze is like Jeff bezos denouncing capitalism

They're not mad they were exploited, they're mad because they're no longer worth exploiting.

"Without the Male Gaze...none of us would be here!"  😳🤔😉

Crazy how certain actresses are always happy to cash in on their looks for as long as it lasts, then retroactively have a problem with it the moment they spot that first bit of cellulite on their arse.

I wish I could cry about nonsense on a pile of millions.

I get roles = male gaze good
I dont get roles = male gaze bad

"Being a movie star is being in the business of looking good."
On Point

Ah yes, she's now at that age where she has to denounce the thing that made her extremely wealthy and famous when she was younger

Why can't they just say, "My time as a Hollywood hottie was rewarding, but it had a beginning, a middle and an end, and now I'm attempting to move on to more age-appropriate themes."

Funny how she’s saying this AFTER turning 40 and having children…as well as cashing in on that male gaze for decades! 😂

I remember when I watched the movie, the island, I had no clue who Scarlet Johansson was.  However, I did notice that the girl protagonist in that movie was incredibly beautiful.

Arnold didn’t have an acting career because he could act. He had a career because he won multiple body building championships. He knew it and so did everyone else. His enduring appeal was he understood who he was. Being self aware is a powerful thing. And it’s refreshing to see as an audience. This is just one more case of an actress turning her back on what got her to the top…

Older actresses who can ACT still get roles. Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, the late Diana Rigg. The ones who got roles because of their looks don’t. This is how it should be.

"Oh no, I made hundreds of millions of dollars starring in movies wearing revealing clothing and now that I have my extreme wealth & live in enormous mansions, I regret that decision and now blame men. Feel sorry for me."
- Scarlet Johansen

"I hate being a sex symbol, thats why I wear these tight, low cut, bright colored dresses"

“I’m attractive and men notice. Wahhhhh!!!”

That’s her main complaint. Rich people are exhausting.

"I made a lot of money playing professional football when I was younger. Now that I'm getting to the point where I can't play it anymore, I'm going to promote the message that football is the problem because they want people young enough to play well."

This is essentially what she's trying to do. Just accept you aren't as young as you used to and adapt to a different role. That's why the majority of sportscasters are people that retired from the sport. You had your day, you made your millions, and you wouldn't change that to promote your current message.

Years ago I worked as a bellman/valet at a hotel with a guy who was tall, dark and movie star handsome.  One slow day we were in the back office just shooting the breeze, and he starts going on about being tired of [predominantly] middle-aged female guests hitting on him.  He went on for a bit, and ended with a "you know what I mean?"  I sat there stunned for a moment, then flatly told him "No, no I don't know what you mean, I'd kill to have even one woman hit on me so blatently."  I suppose he'd never considered what it was like to be part of the "other half", so that stunned him enough to change the subject.

People will complain about being attractive so often, yet if given the choice between that and being "ugly", how many people are going to choose the latter?  You can't have your cake and eat it too.

"They all mysteriously get tired of the male gaze just as the male gaze is about to get tired of them" 🔥🔥🔥
