I've never been to jail or prison, but NO ONE SHOULD BE ABUSED IN PRISON! I'm so sorry for those women......

Why close the prison? Hire all new staff...

The worst part was the hypocrisy.

The BOP has BP-8, BP-9, BP-10, and 11, so everyone knew what was going on, but they just ignored it all.

They feel they can do whatever they want, just don’t let anyone else know about it!

This is shocking. Do people lobby for sentence reduction for tape victims in male prisons? How is society allowing this continued inequality between men and women? What about raped men? How many have they been released?

The details I’ve heard about this case make me sick.

Please check into Lusk Women’s prison in Wyoming. Human rights violations across the board.

What is sad about this whole situation, people have been outing that prison for years before they were brought down. Whistle blowers were fired or hushed. 😢

Who abuses all those inmates if all staff in a woman's prison predominantly women?!

How about not committing crimes?

Funny how men getting violently raped in prison is the punchline of a joke, but women who were "raped" (i.e., had consensual sex with someone that was perceived as having power or authority over them in some way), and the prison literally gets shut down. Talk about a double standard.

the parts of the story where the GUARDS were solicited for favor was LEFT OUT OF COURSE, which in a sense started the whole rape gang,  the guards just got tired of doing favors for two homes theirs and the big house   so they started to TAKE the sex instead     most of the gals were okay with it  some were not   the guard picked the wrong ones   but everyone SCREAMED RAPE after the story broke  hoping for what will happen  CLOSE the prison and chance to leave free of charges in a LIBTARD STATE

Pleasure squad....

I've studied this scandal for years. No staff, former staff, inmate, or former inmate ever coined the phrase "Rape Club".... This was solely an emotional manipulation headline made by a media machine that demands nothing less. They will do anything and everything to get clicks and views. It's a desperate, low tier tactic. So many people made money from this. No wonder they want to keep it going forever.

From what I can gauge, America has applauded the idea of rape in prison as a consequence of being named a felon and sentence passed. "We've" jested about it for literal decades, especially when it's directed toward males. The #1 fear of anyone that might be sent to jail or prison indeed is, 'rape'. This can only happen because the system facilitates it. It can't happen unless the system facilitates it. So, the system has facilitated it.

Whatever is done in this one facility, does'nt stop it happening everywhere else.

You transferred the women, but what became of the rapists??

Purpose build system...

It should be that all people who suffer abuse in the justice system get their sentence reduced/ terminated

What the HELL

t’s always California, it’s always the places they talk about compassion and social justice, who are the worst. But I wonder what is the process of providing such crimes of SA since a lot of woman lie about it, as we know from me too.

Prosecution of the abusers. Name them.

The rapists were not punished?   The women were transferred further away from any visits they may have received by family?
