Keeping your own worms at home can save money, reduce bait waste and mean you've always got a supply ready for your next fishing session.
In this video, I show you two different ways I've used to store worms at home. First, I'll show you how to create a simple wormery using an inexpensive storage box, topsoil, damp shredded paper and used tea leaves.
I'll explain how I encourage the worms to breed, how wet the soil should be, why temperature matters and some of the mistakes I've made over the years.
Then I'll show you the much simpler system I've personally used for the last five years - keeping my worms in an airflow bait tub in the fridge.
It's quick, clean and incredibly convenient, particularly if you regularly use worms for your fishing.
In this video:
• How to make a simple wormery
• What to feed your worms
• How to encourage worms to breed
• The importance of moisture and temperature
• Mistakes to avoid
• How long worms can take to grow
• My simple airflow-tub method
• Why I keep my worms in the fridge
• How to have different-sized worms available for fishing
If you regularly fish with worms, hopefully this will help you look after your bait, waste less and save a bit of money along the way.

Do you keep them in the fridge, have a proper wormery, or simply buy fresh worms every time you go fishing?
I'd be really interested to hear what methods everyone uses - and particularly how long you've managed to keep yours in good condition! 👇 Thanks for watching everyone, Jamie :)
