Eu o declaro nosso irmãozinho  brasileiro, com muito louvor.

The Brazilian National Anthem portrays with poetic metaphors the splendid beauty of the country's nature, the country's achievement of independence from the colonizers, and the determination and love of the Brazilian people for our country.

Hey, don't be in your head about saying "our nation". I'm born and raised brazilian and you passed the vibecheck with flying colors, so... you're in! Honorary citizen of Brazil! Chosen by the people on youtube land! inducted by me, tho.

At sporting events, Brazilians usually sing the Anthem until the end. At the World Cup in Brazil, you can hear the entire stadium singing the anthem along. There are videos, it's worth just taking a look.

Brazil has a specific patriotism in sport, when Ayrton Senna won races and when there is a World Cup for example, search for videos in these moments you will understand the emotion and pride of being Brazilian (start with Senna, his races were insane)

Brazilian people's strong gavel comes from our inspiring nature and everyday fight, from independence (1822, Ipiranga river) to self determination from foreigner countries 💪💪💪

A Brazilian watching and loving this video in 2025!

O que está acontecendo? O mundo está descobrindo o Brasil agora? O que tem de gringo aqui no YouTube mostrando o Brasil não tá no gibi.

You should definitely react to the Brazilians singing to the national anthem during the World Cup. I cry every time I watch it!

If you watch videos of World Cup or Olympics games where brazilians don't stop the Anthem, you'll feel the real vibe.
Fun fact: the Brazilian anthem has a touch of Portuguese that is considered archaic today, to the point that many of these words are only seen in the national anthem and nowhere else. Ex: fulguras, garrida.

React to the song "Army Song - Brazilian Army" (Canção do Exército - Exército Brasileiro). It has a great music video that's part of an army campaign, showing that the army isn't about war; it's about helping people. I'm including the English lyrics here. Brazil has always been and will always be a country of peace, or at least that's how I like to think of it.

We are the guardians of the Motherland
Faithful soldiers
Loved by her
In the colors of our uniform
Glory shines
Victory gleams

In our courage lies
All the hope
That a nation achieves
When its land stands proud
Glory shines
Victory gleams

We long for peace with fervor
War only brings us pain
But if the beloved Motherland
Is ever defiled
We will fight without fear

We long for peace with fervor
War only brings us pain
But if the beloved Motherland
Is ever defiled
We will fight without fear

How sublime it is
To know how to love
To worship with the soul
The land where we are born!
A burning love
For Brazil
In our hearts
That never ceases

And when our beloved nation
In the face of enemies
Is in danger
If we give our lives for her
Glory shines
Victory gleams

Thus, to Brazil we will
Make an equal offering
Of filial love
And to you, Motherland, we will bring salvation!
Glory shines
Victory gleams

We long for peace with fervor
War only brings us pain
But if the beloved Motherland
Is ever defiled
We will fight without fear

We long for peace with fervor
War only brings us pain
But if the beloved Motherland
Is ever defiled
We will fight without fear
