Nicely presented.  It's probably been 10 years since i sliced any ropes,  for my own gratification on some sailing line.  These were familiar steps to me.  It's interesting that i seem to have gotten mine right back then.

Great demonstration Eric, good tip on relieving the bunching up, the area near the crossover while doing the final bury.
I should have done that on the Blue Moon, it was a real animal to do that final bury! LOL

I used this method to splice 11.5 Scion. It's a similar construction with a slightly different core.

Eric the rope is 24 strands and the diameter is 1/2", from Colombia

Where did you find instructions? Sterling and Sherrill seem to be keeping it to themselves.
