Can't wait for the 7 hour video going through all the configuration options.

Watching Magnum PI made me fall in love with the MD500.

Dear Santa, from a former US Navy Helicopter Pilot… I know what I want for Christmas

Definitely my favourite helicopter as well. Been in love with them since I was a boy.

Differences in helicopter models are about as subtle as the range differences in 911s.

I love how you have the aviation bug just like me, albeit fixed vs. rotary wing. I should be hitting my 10,000th Boeing 747 flight hour later this year.

A MD factory tour would be cool I'd like to see the FLIR camera setups for police and SAR.

One of my favourite helicopters of all time! Can't wait to see what else you've got for us from Heli Expo.

Not very nice to interrupt your host, even if time is a premium. A part 2 video can always be produced. I flew the original OH6 (500C) with the then Allison 250, the the original Little Bird with the 450 shop version, in the military of course. Talk about maneuverability, even with a fully articulated rotor head. Awesome feedback from the push/pull system. Amazing bird, nearly 60 years old design that still rocks.

Back in the day the factory would demo a loop at airshows with the D and E. It was not a full smooth "loop" but had a "kink" at the top to maintain positive Gs on the rotor system. Though if seen at ~ 45 degree angle, you'd swear it was a nice, round "loop-de-loop" 😊. I love this and hope they do well. Nick, thanks for doing this!
