In this campaign book for The One Ring 2e you will take on the role of agents of the White Wizard; sent out into Middle-earth to fight back against the growing Shadow. Can you change the course of history and help Saruman stay on the side of good, or is his fall to evil inevitable?

Hands of the White Wizard is still in 'Pre-Order'. So, if you purchase a hard copy now you will get the PDF immediately (or at least within an hour or so) and then the physical book will mail later. Currently there has been no official release date other than 'sometime in the spring'.

this is an ENDGAME book ... you basically need to go through tales before doing this book ... this book is either for really powerfull/experienced party or to END a campaign ... really tough quests

A lore accurate version with Saruman as your patron in this time period would mean your characters would be spying on Gandalf or as agents in Bree or the Shire... Or helping to plan attacks on Rohan and breeding new varieties of orcs. Saruman was totally selfish and evil by 2965 and afterwards, he just wasn't in league with Sauron yet. But, he was already obsessed with getting the One Ring for himself, had ill intent towards Rohan, and was filled with hatred and jealousy of Gandalf.

I really like Realms. To me, this feels almost like three campaigns in one book. Just a few details to flesh out. I am currently reading Moria, and I am blown away by it, and I am so glad I am reading it before taking my characters to Lothlorien, or playing the Tales campaign.

I’ve read through it, looking forward to playing it. I honestly think that even the”Easy Mode” option that advertises that you can maybe save Saruman from falling would be really, really hard. The margin for error feels razor thin. And if you choose the middle option, then Saruman can only be saved if the player heroes don’t need his help in the final adventure. The third option is meant to be impossible, and I suspect that in an actual playthrough, Saruman would have already fallen by halfway through the campaign.

i absolutley love the epilogue and its implications, that perhaps gandalf only escapes orthank because he was suspicious enough to start because of the party, and that saruman only finally goes bad because he saves the company, and thats the moment he stares too long into the abyss, or realizies all is lost.

Already pre-ordered, have the pdf but have not read it yet. Looking forward to it. I liked all of the modules/supplements, don't think I can name a favorite.

I just startet a group playing TOR last week and it felt great! We played the Star in the Mist of the Core Book and now I'm thinking where to go next.
I hope so much the pdf will be available soon! I really like the idea of giving Saruman a greater part im my campaign.

Hi Will, how would you assess the book for solo play? Do you think it's too difficult/complex for it? Would using the band rules from the Moria book be helpful?
