DJ rack needed a glow-up, so I pulled a few legacy pieces and rebuilt the core signal path for cleaner workflow and more reliable control. In this video I show exactly what I swapped, why I chose each piece, and how the new layout streamlines show-day setup and routing.
What changed:
• Furman M-8Dx ➜ PL-PLUS DMC power conditioner
• Shure BLX4R ➜ brand-new Shure SLX-D wireless system
• Added dedicated DI to take laptop output to balanced XLR
• Added a wireless router for better QSC TouchMix app range/control
• Reworked rack outputs and cabling for faster patching

1. Your DMC Furman is a timeless piece that should serve you well for a long time. I like both the numeric and beaded display readouts in both 15 and 20 amp models.
2. Consider the SLX Portable gear for wireless speakers, extend a rig with an extra channel, or to just have with you in a zippered pouch and need wireless whereever you are.
