We are travelling in Bangladesh. Today I’m in Dhaka and show you what it’s like as a solo female tourist exploring Dhaka. This video shows exactly how I was treated as I explore the busy streets of Dhaka, eat local Bangladeshi Street food and do some shopping in a local market. Most importantly this video shows interactions I had with Bangladeshi people and the friends I made along the way.
Bangladesh, to the east of India on the Bay of Bengal, is a South Asian country marked by lush greenery and many waterways. Its Padma (Ganges), Meghna and Jamuna rivers create fertile plains, and travel by boat is common. On the southern coast, the Sundarbans, an enormous mangrove forest shared with Eastern India, is home to the royal Bengal tiger.
Dhaka, formerly known as Dacca, is the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. With an estimated population of 36.6 million, Dhaka is the second largest city by population in the world, and is widely considered to be the most densely populated built-up urban area in the world.

This guy is a representative of the youth of Bangladesh. We want every foreigner to be treated like this. Bangladesh is safe for every female foreigner, and he (along with many other people in the video) is proof of that.
