Thanks James for your really sincere review...🌟🌟🌟

After testing grand pianos by Steinway, Bosendorfer, Bechstein & Schimmel, I decided to buy a Schimmel as it had the best responsive action for my hands & fingers. I could play the Schimmel & Bechstein comfortably whereas Steinway & Bosendorfer were playing me...Thank you! 😘😘😘

Tyvm. Schimel is one of my favourite piano brands with a clear and yet ample sound. This one is no exeption.

Very happy to see you playing a Schimnel. I own a Schimnel upright and to me is the best upright sound for my taste. Very warm and balanced. The closest to a Steinway sound IMHO. Lovely video! Thank you!

Best sounding piano

I have an upright Schimmel - and I love it.  I get lots of positive comments from musicians and tuners about the quality of the build and the sound.

If I would use one word to describe the sound of this piano it would be, "balanced".
The sound is well-integrated from octave to octave with no one portion of its range being suppressed or overpowering.

I like it a lot!

I have a Yamaha upright in my livingroom. But yesterday I went to a big pianostore to buy a piano for my studio. I played old and new ones. I fell in love  with a little Schimmel. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. The sound is so bright and round and so clear and warm and happy. They bring the Schimmel next week...'can't wait. You played very beautifully. Loved the review. Greeting from the Netherlands.

For this price range, Schimmel Pianos are the best in the world

Very impressive piano! Well, those German high quality pianos are all beautiful sounding, but I like the blend of registers on this Schimmel. I still like Blûthner and Bechstein best, but Schimmel is in their league, that's for sure!

I love the sound of this piano because it is so happy and bright as you said and it also wounds very warm to me.

What a beautiful balanced warm piano.  Remind me of the bösendorfer. I like it. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, James.  Really enjoyed this video.  I'd never heard of Schimmel pianos, and I'm so happy to be introduced to one.  I loved the sound.  I was thinking "clean" just moments before you used that word to describe it.  And what a gorgeous instrument!    The combination of the deep black outer surface, the burled (is that the word?) wood interior, and the ochre harp is extraordinary.  Conceived of and built by a true artist.  Thanks again for this.  Lovely.

Thanks for the review. I‘m surprised to learn that Schimmel pianos aren‘t that common in the US. Here in Germany, if you asked the ordinary German in the streets for piano brands most certainly Schimmel would be the one people would come up with. With certain people it‘s almost like a synonym for piano here. Maybe you can review the 130 upright Schimmel one day, too. I really like your reviews and put a lot of trust in your verdicts.

A Beautifully sounding  piano and a wonderful review James! Your rendition of the Bach hymns was lovely. Thank You James.

Schimmel is best known for the quality of their UPRIGHT pianos.

A fine-sounding piano, James.  I'm glad you were able to record one of the Schimmel Konzerts.

Hi James! I'm new to your page and am curious of the titles of the comparison pieces you play on every piano. They sound very calming and serene. Keep up the good work!

Yes, nice piano with the slightly bright but still warm quality that high-level Schimmel's possess.  The harp is definitely more orange than most other pianos. Bosendorfer's harps are a bit orangey and some of the Yamahas, but this harp is the most orange that I've seen.

That's a beautiful 🎹

Super video !  Merci bien ;))
