As a long haul truck driver, I’ve been to all of the 48 continental states. Wyoming has always been my favorite. There is an indescribable feeling of freedom and peace that goes hand in hand with the vast emptiness of Wyoming that words cannot describe. Keep Wyoming wild and untamed.

As an old timer who lives here in Wyoming I'm absolutely amazed by the foreigners (out of staters) who have no concept of the mentality of the Wyoming populist.  We consider common sense, not being rude, giving everyone a chance a normalcy. Wyoming is laid back and have the back of those who deserves it.

Lived there in the 1979 - 1990 era. I miss the room , the space and people staying the hell outta my life there . Freedom. 🇺🇸

Wyoming is my favorite state. I've been there twice. Me and my family experienced a national geographic centerfold page in Yellowstone when we found ourselves in the middle of a few hundred head of bison which swam across the Yellowstone River and climbed the grassy slope to our vehicles.  The grunting and snorting was intense.  It's a day that I'll never forget.  And the Cody Rodeo is one of the most unexpectedly patriotic events I have ever attended.

Coming up on 10 years in Cheyenne, love it.  I know this is not a place for most, but if you value kindness, freedom, serenity, hunting and general outdoor activities then this is still a slice of paradise.

Wyoming is not for everyone for sure but there's just something on this calmness

The people who trekked west back in the 1800s to places like this were absolute studs of human beings. Our countries history and the people who took the chances to improve their lives is just amazing

Hey, Nick… the bucking bronco depicted on the Wyoming license plate is based on a real horse named Steamboat from Chugwater area.  Has been on the license plates since 1936… oldest license plate logo in the entire world.

It's funny when I was 18 or so the idea of living in a "boring" place like that sounded awful. 20 years later it sounds like paradise at least for part of the year

I lived in Laramie, age ten through age sixty.  What he missed, was Veda Voo, The beautiful rock formations between Cheyenne and Laramie.  The Ames monument between Laramie and Cheyenne. for the building of the transcontinental railroad.  I fed my family on Elk meat, harvested on the South Fork of the Shoshoni River out of Cody.  The town of Bosler (Baughzlehr).  It tied into I-80 at Arlington.  The UP-railroad route across southern Wyoming as part of the transcontinental railroad.  Wyoming is known for the excellent hunting of wild game.  He missed "The Virginian Hotel, where Owen Wister wrote the classic novel, "The Virginian."  The home of Sinclair Oil, and other oil producing fuel products for those still needing fuel. including coal, windfarms, and uranium (nuclear fuel).  Wyoming cannot convert to electric vehicles due to the lack of electric infrastructure over its vast distances, for recharging.  

The Oregon trail existed North of this area, including Ft. Laramie (nowhere near Laramie).  The fort is over 100 miles NE, along the Platte River, between Torrington and Guernsey, WY.  This is where Register Cliff, and the still existing trail ruts are located.  Douglas Wyoming is the home of the state fair is located, along with the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.  Hiland is a fuel stop only, and Moneta is an access point to the southern Plains/Red desert.  Shoshoni is the access to the road through the Wind River Canyon to Thermopolis, with the largest hot springs, and points North.  Cody is also near the Heart (Hart) Mountain Japanese Internment Camp during WWII.   It has an excellent visitor's center, with rebuilt structures, and audio/visual presentations.

The North Fork of the Shoshoni River displays the Buffalo Bill's reservoir on the way to Yellowstone, including the dam, which was built as the highest dam at the time.  The South fork of the river and local highway leads to the hunting areas, which are restricted to horseback, or hiking only., my hunting areas.  My wife was born in Thermopolis, and lived in Greybull, WY, later in Cody, and when she went to UW in Laramie, I stole her out of college.  We have been married 58 years.

Born and raised there.  In Rawlins in fact.   My parents owned a business there.  In the 70s and 80s, it was a great little small high plains town to grow up in.  It has been a shell of that since the 1982 energy bust...it just never came back.    Wyoming is a beautiful state and I am very proud of my Cowboy State pedigree.

Wyoming is amazing! I love those old tiny convenience stores in the middle of nowhere! When your out on the road in the middle of nowhere being able to find a well stocked little gem is really cool! It's also quiet, wide open and peaceful. The cowboy culture of this country must remain intact! City folks might not understand it but those hardworking men and women are how you obtain that meat on your plate and the gas in your tank!

I never would've expected the people of Casper to let that get out of hand. I have grown up in the Denver area and this place is now toast. Give an inch and it's over!
