Two blocks down… only 70 more to go. 😅 This king-size quilt is officially testing every ounce of my patience, and I'm bringing you along for the ride.

In this quilting update, I show off the first 2 of 72 finished blocks (front and back quilting!), explain why I had to switch sewing machines mid-project, and share the spacing mistake that means I now have to measure and hand-mark every single 3/8" quilting line. Add in a missing can of basting spray, four Christmas projects on the to-do list, and an anniversary deadline that came and went back in July, and you've got one honest look at real-life quilting.

If you've ever started a big quilt project and wondered what you got yourself into, this one's for you. And if you have a suggestion for a calmer hobby, drop it in the comments!

ABOUT THIS VIDEO
A real, unfiltered king-size quilt progress update covering quilt-as-you-go blocks, machine quilting tension problems, why a walking foot matters for thick quilt sandwiches, marking straight-line quilting by hand, spacing quilting lines to your presser foot, spray basting vs. pin basting, and juggling holiday sewing projects. Great for beginner and intermediate quilters working on large quilts, wedding anniversary quilts, or handmade gifts.
