It’s humbling realizing that rocks, ice, water, and DNA can preserve stories older than humanity.

That was a very pleasant intro

The word "oldest" always makes me curious. There's so much history hidden in these discoveries.

10:10 more spaced out footprints = faster and the closer footprints are slower. Your strides are much longer if you’re power-walking or running as compared to walking leisurely.

I like that your videos start right away instead of having a useless 2 minute introduction

My parents used to run an antiques shop. It was full of treasures that my parents could tell us about as if they were these precious artifacts (which they were). One day, with reverence in my little 7 year old eyes, I asked Dad what the oldest thing in the whole shop was. He took me to the fireplace and told me to pick up a lump of coal 😂

The atoms of gold in the ring on your finger are between 10 to 13 billion years old, far older than the Earth and Sun.

Here in South Africa I went to the cradle of humankind museum earlier this year and they had a very extensive exhibit of all these things.

Must say it is nice to have a video remind me of places I have been.

Well done video this.

(Edit) OK not all the video. Those Stromagalites things and whatnot.
