“That was only intermediate” is SO real. I wasn’t expecting Ed to be so technical, but man I am HAPPY with him!

Ed be going through a DMC Nero arc right now: from not that cool in their first appearance, to badass in their second.

1:16 "He's an out-boxer" I believe that was an intentional design choice. Ed's stance and use of flicker jabs is most likely inspired by Mashiba from Hajime no Ippo. Mashiba's fighting style (the Hitman Style) is inspired by Tommy "Hitman" Hearns who used long range punches to out-box and fluster opponents before swarming them with vicious in-fighting. I've seen other comments noting that some of Ed's target combos are reminiscent of combos that Hearns used during his fights.

edit: I forgot to mention that given Balrog was designed after Mike Tyson (Ippo from Hajime no Ippo was as well), I wouldn't be surprised if the devs designed SF6 Ed after Mashiba/Hearns.

Ed was supposed to be "easy" in sf5 but due to the fact his inputs were so simple he was actually tougher in the more technical aspects of the game.

Ed🤝 Peacemaker
Least Anticipated DLC that shattered expectations

Ed is becoming cooler by the minute, especially after his interactions  in world tour mode. And his badass theme certainly helps elevate him in my opinion

Capcom could make El Fuerte cool at this point.

This is why I don't mind Capcom taking their time with their DLC if they're putting all this detail and love into them.

Balrog also taught him swag.

I like the "PPPTROOTOOTROORTORTOORTOO!!!" that Max did. 3:11😂

I'm here in time for all the bot accounts. Woot.

Man, we're long past the days of dudes like Abel and El Fuerte wasting slots. Every newish character has been dope. Can you imagine a SF6 version of C.Viper? :face-purple-wide-eyes:

As a modern player, Ed feels fantastic. The fact his light assisted combo lacks a super art and his medium can be canceled right after the tether pull leaves so much player expression. Haven't given him too much play time in classic yet just cuz I wanna get his actual kit down before diving into the tiny details, but he's easily my new main

Honestly, the little flicks with the reach remind me a lot of Yamazaki from KoF

Boxing based characters have always been some of my favourite and most liked characters. Steve, Dudley, and now Ed. all are so unique in style and game play its really cool.

I really like the way they are going with this characters playing style. You really see something you have not seen before for other boxing type characters like balrog. His style is more like that of a outboxer or something with a bit more flavor in it. he is not a classic type like the British guy or the underhanded brawler balrog but I can't help but feel like he has some underground flair in there.

Love the noises people in the FGC make when they’re trying to hit combos 😂 find myself doing that now

Some of Ed's fighting style reminds me of Terry Bogard, I think I'm gonna like playing Ed now. Now that I think about it, he feels like a K.O.F. character.

Ed is Such a Good potential Rival for Luke

Wait is that a german rapsong in the back? Cool

man is Ed's move set awesome to watch
