Outside of a heavy depression or anxiety, which are their own thing, I live by the rule: if you feel as though you hate yourself- shower. If you feel as though you hate everyone else- eat. If you feel as though everyone else hates you- sleep.

37:44 Hi Fisk! BPD is abbreviated as borderline personality disorder. And DBT stands for dialectical behavioral therapy.
TLDR: BPD is a mental health condition in which a person can experience emotions intensely. Their feelings change quickly, and they have a hard time calming down (which you saw some of that previously with Vivian belittling Adam and the therapist). Their feelings are usually a 9 or a 10 out of 10 in most cases. DBT is the preferred therapy for BPD. It teaches people skills for handling strong emotions and accept them whilst learning how to respond to them differently.
Not so fun fact: EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, a therapeutic intervention that helps an individual brain process difficult or traumatic experiences that the individual may feel stuck on. Adam is stuck on an experience that he cannot move past, hence his selective mutism. Also, based off of this note, it looks like there is a lot of partner violence here as well.
Okay, I’m done now! Sorry that there is so much info here. I just wanted you to be aware. Thanks for the upload!!!

19:24 you are INSANE for solving this puzzle that quickly ohmylord

You're not alone; I'm the same with analyzing any movies I watch or games I play, trying to figure out the plot lol ~ it's more fun that way!

Would love to see you do a full play through of this, love this kind of content. There are many questions that need answering, and answers that need questioning!

More playthrough notes: "Engel" means "angel". Along with the names "Adam", "Eve" and "Lilith" and the crucifixion imagery, it's pretty heavy-handed. That is one great thing about Silent Hill--it creates its own mythos rather than leaning on Christian tropes. Also, there is no such thing as a fractured spinal cord. They mean to say "fractured vertebra", which is one of the spinal bones.

I read some comments regarding the medical jargon being used in the game, so I thought I'd add to that.

This is in regards to the medical jargon (ORIF), describing Vivian's fractured femur. (ORIF) stands for Open Reduction Internal Fixation. For a healthy adult femur to experience a fracture like this, requiring (ORIF), the patient would have suffered either high-velocity deceleration or fall-from-height force.

Without spoilers, given the intense adult themes and visual cues in this game, we know which scenario transpired.

28:14 Thats the raddest thing I have seen

I would say adam has ptsd, him hitting vivian was him having an episode

The word you were looking for was vertebra! Those are the bones that make up the vertebral column or spinal column which are what were broken in Vivian. Typically medicine in North America uses T instead of Th for the thoracic vertebra aka the ones that are in your thorax and L is for the lumbar vertebra aka the lower back. Th10-12 and L1-3 are therefore Thoracic Vertebra 10 through 12 and Lumbar Vertebra 1 through 3. ORIF surgery is a surgery where a surgeon puts in metal rods into a bone to help it heal properly. Sometimes it stays in forever and sometimes it's removed after the bone fully heals.

Thanks for the video Fisk and yeah, I'd love to see more!

4:53   "I take it that Vivian, right now, is out of her life."

Well......that's one way of putting it.  😆

So Adam and Vivian (eve) both had issues, they also have a child. I think Adam couldn’t express himself (pretty standard among men sometimes) and it says Vivian had BPD (border line personality disorder) and sometimes ppl with BPD do something called “splitting black” which is when they are feeling big emotions and feel that everything is black and white, only good or bad, to the extreme. I think Adam hurt eve in some way and broke her back (either literally or figuratively “immobilized” her by being unable to express himself.

It does help when you have a clean place where you live. I know from experience. It is hard to do it and continues to be hard to keep up... but if I don't do it, it truly affects how I feel. Music on boat 15:07 reminds me of Lunacid, anyone else?? I almost think it has to be the same composer.

I agree that those loud, glitchy jump scares are a bitchy thing to do in digital media. Too easy.

@28:11 has a risk assessment been carried out, because health and safety would like a word

Now, this is what I call a psychological game!

Minus the filth my apartment is made up of three rooms. The main room is where the couches and TV and games and all that crap is. The second room is a big room combined with a kitchen and then the bathroom. Its is what it is. Just choose not to live like a swine and make it my palace ya dig?

Yeah I’m going to have to watch your full gameplay on this one!

This game got some good graphics!!!

Thanks for playing!
