What was supposed to be a simple family camping trip to one of the smallest towns in the Karoo turned into an adventure none of us expected!
Three vehicles, our caravan, and a journey through some of South Africa's most spectacular remote landscapes. The plan was to spend a few nights camping in Middelpos and support the town's local bazaar.
But things didn't exactly go according to plan.
Our campsite fell through, heavy rain changed the conditions completely, and then the Prado developed a serious misfire while towing the caravan, far from home.
With muddy roads, unexpected mechanical problems, a late-night repair and some incredible scenery along the way, this turned into one of our most memorable adventures yet.
And somehow, we still managed to make it to the Middelpos Bazaar!

Apart from basic tools and brake cleaner, what else would you recommend taking as a backup for when my Prado breaks down?
You should have stopped somewhere lakker and camped even if everything was wet.

Between the rain, losing our campsite, the Prado giving us trouble and those incredible Karoo roads, it was one adventure after another!
