NO Carp or Tilapia… But We Found THIS! 🐍 | Wyaralong Pest Fishing Competition
YouTube Description
Today we headed out to Wyaralong Dam for the 2026 Logan & Albert Fish Management Association (LAFMA) Pest Fishing Competition! 🎣🇦🇺
The goal was simple — catch some tilapia or carp and help remove these invasive pest fish from our waterways.
Unfortunately… we caught ZERO tilapia and ZERO carp! 😂
But it definitely wasn't a wasted trip! We still managed to: 🐟 Catch an eel-tailed catfish 🔥 Find firetail gudgeons in my fish traps
🐍 And even come across a beautiful carpet python!
Not quite the pest-fishing haul we were hoping for, but that's fishing — you never know what you're going to find!
A huge shout-out to the Logan & Albert Fish Management Association for running the competition and for the work they do helping restore the balance in the Logan and Albert river systems.
