This is the video I've been searching for. The other videos tell you how to bid jobs, how to get leads, how to spend as little as possible to make $20,000,0000 on your first job, basically everything except the equipment. Thank you for not be a 'car salesman' about this simple subject. Thank you for giving us terms and equipment that most of us have never heard of and the other channels will not go into detail about because they want you to purchase their course. Subscribed!

Reinvest into the business along the way. The equipment you can’t budget at the startup like hose reels and such, make money off the job and buy small upgrades little by little

Good info.
I spent around $4300 getting started but I bought all new equipment so other peoples start up expenses can be much lower by buying used equipment.
If that sounds like a lot just keep in mind I made all of that back in 2 months of starting up which is what is so good about this industry.

I want a good 2.5GPM machine, and a surface cleaner, really just want to do driveways on the weekends. Getting my CDL this year as my primary profession, but I want a couple good side hustles. Might do carpet cleaning as well and welding/refurbishing/repurposing trailers into pressure washing rigs would be pretty fun. I imagine I’ll upgrade to a 4GPM machine sooner than later. I just want a good backup pressure washer and to get out there as soon as possible. Excited to start working for myself. I’ve got some really cool ideas for branding/transporting my gear.

You can purchase a high pressure ball valve, this little tool saves you from needing to hold the trigger and walking from the machine to where ever you need to go, run your hose with this on the end open valve, Turn garden hose on start pressure washer, walk back to wherr you dropped the ball valve attached to the end of hose, attach your gun or surface cleaner whatever your using and open ball valve, easy peasy, And if client comes to chat with you simple turn off ball valve detach from your gun/surface cleaner whatever, And open ball valve, Quick and easy and will save your pump, You can also use it to spray by adjusting ball valve leaver.

You should look into the Smart Bypass, it's build here in the Charlotte area. Once you use that you will never go back, it's about a $600 investment but well worth it. Also I would look into Davis Shooter tips and the different nozzle connectors, 2, 3 or 4 ports on it. I personally run a 2 and on that I have an M5 Twist and a Davis Shooter Tip for height and fan spray. With both I can hit over 3 stories with a 5.5 GPM direct drive unit with an external unloader. Since my lawn biz is on the trailer I mounted everything inside a 6.5 foot bed of my RAM, it's my daily driver also but I put 2 hose reels the PW and the Smart Bypass with all the other equipment and it's all covered with a fit bed cover, nobody is the wiser. You posted a great video my man, keep it going for the newbies. I would post a picture of my rig but I'm YouTube ignorant and don't know how.

Very informative video but it would be great if you would have included pictures of all the specific items you were describing. A lot of people looking for informative videos like this more than likely don’t know what a jrod or dsi are.
