James Cameron's Aliens was released on July 18th, 1986. Later, an extended Special Edition restored many of its originally deleted scenes. What else has been lost but not forgotten in those 40 years?

I remember seeing the "sentry gun" scene in the special edition on VHS for the first time that added so much to film and it was such a little addition.

Paxton should have won the Academy Award for his role!!!!! After we all saw it in High School the next day everyone was quoting his lines and we were laughing our asses off!!!!

If there was a third unseen footage of Aliens I think it should be released

16:40 It's a bit funny in hindsight that Vasquez referred to Ripley as "Snow White" when Weaver would later star in an adaption of the Snow White tale in 1997.

My father thought it was a good idea to let me watch Aliens when I was seven-years-old. It traumatized me to the point, I couldn't go down dark hallways without looking at the ceiling. Over time I got over it, and now I'm a Xeno fanatic, gathering as much of the franchise as I can, with the autographs and toys and more.

For me the extended cut of "Aliens" is a perfect film. But deep diving all these extra scenes is an incredible look behind the curtain, as it were.

I purchased the anthology in 2018, I think, and that was the first time I had seen Aliens on something other than VHS. Wow! What visuals I had missed! I didn't know that the red dot on Hick's chest was a heart. I didn't know there was a bullet hole and 'born again' written on his armor as well. I couldn't see what was written on Hudson's and Vasquez's armor and helmets as well. Having subtitles was a blessing as well. That VHS was so worn out, the picture was fuzzy and the audio was slightly muffled and garbled. I will never get rid of it, though. There has to be about 100 viewings on that thing.

Bishop in the tunnel is for sure a mandella effect as I remember it even though the tunnel in the film was too small for that.

I wish they would have left in the Aliens' pounding on the pressure door, when Vasquez pointed out the silence. That was horrifying.

I love the Vasquez illegal aliens scene, because its based on the casting process. Jenette Goldstein(Vasquez) went to the audition believing the movie Aliens was about illegal aliens, and not a sequel to Alien(EDIT).

I love this film so much and first watched it in the early 90s as a young kid. It has taken 30 plus years but last month I finally took the plunge and got a set of Colonial Marine armour.
