I cannot tell you how much this helped me because I felt guilty today for being stressed about an upcoming bucket list trip. I was overwhelmed today and felt bad about and not willing to tell anyone how I felt guilty for feeling that way. I managed to pull myself out of it, though it felt strange to feel dread instead of joy and gratitude. All the things you listed resonate—I’m not fake tanning, although my legs will be shockingly pale in a bad way! The weather changed, so my game plan for the trip was unraveling quickly too. We just drove from Fl to Ca and stayed 5 weeks out there . I’ve really relaxed in what I bring every year because I figure whatever I need or run out of I’ll just buy it . And of course I brought to many clothes but I’m getting much better!

Last winter I went on a long weekend with my husband and took no makeup. That was a biggie for me because I wear makeup daily. It was liberating! Plus it was so cold that I wore a hat and a scarf pulled up to my nose. And this past summer I was in Europe when the heat dome was happening, and even though I had makeup, I decided not to use it! I just wore big sunglasses. 😂

The holiday "prepare and pack situation" always brings me to a mental breakdown 🤣whilst my husband can just pack an hour before we leave. Only when we are in the car on our way to the airport, I start enjoying! It's not easy to be a woman 🤣. Have fun sweet Nisha!

Nisha , I chuckle to myself with the makeup. Years ago when my sister started dating her husband, we all when to visit our younger sister at college. We all stayed in one hotel room as they were all booked up. Well night time came and she went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. She comes out of the bathroom with a fresh full set of makeup on. We were hysterical. She said “ He can’t see me without makeup yet”! Oh the things we did. 😊😂. Oh, what is your brand of iron. It looks good with many steam holes. 😊

I used to be just like you many years ago when going somewhere! Spain was my fun in the sun place when Ilived in Europe! Now i have been housebound for years and cant go anywhere! So enjoy your travels while you are able...cuz you never know when that all can end! The dresses you took to Spain last time were all very lovely! Have a good time! Have a wonderful trip. I too have downsized my packing for trips as I always bring too much. I used to bring different colors of eyeshadow and I took your tip in using more neutral colors. Only one time did I regret not bringing enough outfits and that was a weekend getaway but most of the time, a fourth of the clothes I don't use. And we were coming back from England, we had too many gifts and souvenirs and I had to leave my hair products behind at the Inn we were staying at as we had way too much to carry. Anyway just enjoy your time with family and safe travels as always.
