The whole bank card thing feels really weirdly out of place. Like why take it and leave a trail then the way the story says he hid it and then suddenly his cousin sees it in front of the cops. This feels out of place as a poorly done MacGuffin that lowers the perceived intelligence of the MC for heavy handed foreshadowing, not sure if it even goes anywhere since I am not far into it.

That was a stupid move with the bank card, it is funny earlier the narrator said he hid the bank card and the token in separate places but some how the card that was suppose to be hidden was seen on the table. Makes no sense, to write something then write something else in total conflict with the first thing.
