"I didn't clip it on properly." You also didn't train her properly.

First off the first dog was on a choke collar, prong, or a martingale. Either way only should be on a bikejoring harness which is literally DESIGNED for bikeing

Second clip is the perfect example of why i always carry a slip lead.
Wild for the owner to be letting the dog run around like that, without even a collar.

1st video - as you mentioned, first thing I thought was the collar on the neck and high speed yank for whatever accidental reason.

All I gotta say is that Boston Terrier is lucky the Malinois owner has her dog trained and under control!!

Dude on the scooter appears to have Veda on a prong collar!

What is wrong with the owner is the second clip? Her dog's running on the street, playing and cuttling with strangers, running right in front of cars and she doesn't even try to get it back. And she was standing right behind it, when it started to run.

As someone who has been attacked by an offleash pitbull, why (especially in the south I've noticed) do so many people think they can handle bully breeds now. If you can't handle a dog don't get one, but jfc these owners need chiuaua size dogs if they're gonna constantly lose control of them. I genuinely believe some new bully breed owners think they can just throw the dog in their unfenced yard and it'll fend for itself. I can't even trust my windows to be down on the highway because that's what happened to me, off leash collared pitbull jumped into my car and tried to kill my dog.

Like at least if people are going to be irresponsible, they could have small breed dogs anyone can pick up and maintain control over until the owner appears.

The ONLY responsible pitbull owner I've met as an ex-shelter volunteer had only pitbulls, no other dog breeds, and they all lived on a farm and were working animals. Chillest dogs I've ever met because the owner didn't have the misconception that bully breeds are "lazy", and the guy had rescued one from a fighting ring. And he knew the american pitbull terrier was bred specifically to fight and kill dogs, he was under no impression that his dog's instincts could somehow be overridden 🤔🤷

She just watched the dog bolt out of her yard.

Having a dog pulling on a prong is horrible

@robbferriman9577 2 months ago

The more I watch or listen to you, the more I understand the incremental, patient way of duration, distraction and distance. I think I have graduated from house to yard to sidewalk too quickly. Thanks for reminding me to be patient and consistent.
Also, a question. I'm working with a local trainer using an e-collar. Is mixing e-collar training while following your methods conflicting or is it ok.

@Lena-vi1qh 3 months ago

It looks like he's got a pinch collar on the dog doing that running with the scooter

Pulled up to my friend's house with a bag of fast food ready for some DnD, saw a little old lady trying to chase down her little dog. I got down low and pulled out some fries to lure it over so I could get the leash

@Amos_Huclkeberry 3 months ago

I have no respect for people who don't have control of their dogs.

1. Not just any Harness.

@Craymayy93 3 months ago

as a dog owner, seeing some of these videos makes my skin crawl. Off lead dogs in most cities around the world is ILLEGAL. As it should be. It's so dangerous for your dogs as they can get hurt, killed or attack others. Too many people want to flex an off lead dog but the majority don't have the proper training or temperament. It's completely irresponsible. Also, not every dog is friendly and this is just a recipe for disaster. Don't do off lead in cities. go to a proper area that allows for this. You must at least be slightly smarter than the dog in front of you, but sadly the majority of dog owners are not. Keep your dogs on the lead.
