I have seen every handbuilding a mug video ever made, I swear! Lol. And I’ve never seen anyone do this to the bottom of the mug!! Can’t wait to try it!! The bottom would also make for an extra little drip catcher if the glaze goes near the bottom!!

I agree with others who have said this is great for complete beginners. I've been frustrated by other videos which don't explain all the steps/tools clearly enough. This is great and has inspired me to have a go! Thanks

Your teaching style is very accessible for nubies.
I think that's wonderful. Hopefully some more folks will get into ceramics.

This is a great vid. No one would ever know it was your first if you didn't tell them. You wouldn't even have to say you had to start over with the mug. With cooking shows they shoot two of the same ones and then edit.
I like this method it is great for those of us that don't have a Wheel. Of course we'd still need a kiln. Which I'd kiln for....lol...😁

Very informative video and you are an excellent teacher. I just have one suggestion and that is when you are showing us something up close, Keep it on camera a little bit longer than just the second it flashed on and off. Also, couldn’t really see some things because they weren’t close enough to the camera. I have watched many other mug videos, but I still learned something from you today.
