I love seeing these two titans of the Karate Kid franchise come face to face again. This fight scene between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is a long time coming, especially if you're a fan of the original films like I am. This scene again demonstrates another essential element of filmmaking: the impeccable choreography of a fight. The two men command the screen, going back and forth with an intricately choreographed karate battle.

Do you know how to defend yourself?

Terry is one of the best TV show villains ever. Brilliantly written character and played by a great actor.

The fact that Daniel was at his lowest point & just wanted to move on, that still wasn’t enough for Silver. Basically, Silver thrives on suffering & power. It clearly showed in this.

Daniel uses his offense and Terry Silver uses his defense

2:44 that look on his face... it's like he already knew he just caused the bloody knuckles again...

0:30 2:06 2:28 3:52 it's incredible how Macchio, a man in his 60s, can still look like a scared lost child in moments like these. He plays Daniel's terror and vulnerability with such credibility.

One of my favorite scenes... Silver being at his best. Daniel gave him a good fight despite not being focused

I love how Silver's gesture after the flashback is like hes silently saying, "Well? What are you gonna do about it?". He remembering the same thing Daniel was

Terry enjoys the thrill of the fight bro, he’s literally smiling 90 percent of the time

The only real complaint I have is that they should have mirrored his lines from the final match in III properly. "Now the real pain begins, Danny-boy." The callback was there, but it could have been improved, I think.

Part 3 of the original movie was a far cry from the first two, but it introduced the best villain ever - Mr.Terry Silver. Amazing show! Props to the whole team, and Ian Griffith!

I think Daniel lost this fight because of his state of mind was at it's worst. When he was confident and had everone standing with him, that's when he defeated Silver.

This was one of the most terrifying scenes in the show, if not the most. As a kid, Miyagi saved Daniel from Silver and Kreese, but now, while Miyagi is gone and Daniel became the master who could easily take on Kreese, Silver was much more dangerous and brutal. While I didn't expect Daniel to win this fight, this defeat was truly something else. If Daniel can't beat Kreese, and he's supposed to be at the top, what next? This season was fantastic.

Seeing the flash back where terry says what you are going to do about it is a perfect motivation for any dojo

0:51 - I was kind of hoping he would go, "Danny, Danny, Danny..." like he did in KK3. Too much fan service I know, but it would have been the perfect callback
