Did a little research on the flight, and here's the explanation:
- To fly to Caticlan, you can only carry an exact amount of fuel. Anything less, you can't make it, anything more, you are too heavy to land, and you will overshoot the runway.
- Because of the high demand for plane rides to Caticlan, more airlines had made more flights going there. This means a lot of unexpected traffic--you will need to wait for your turn.
- As a safety protocol, the flight was diverted to the nearest airport to refuel. This happens often, even in Japan and Korea.
- Logistically and financially speaking, it costs more time and money to send that plane from Kalibo to Caticlan, and it's not good environmental practice for the industry, that's why the airline opted to transport the passengers via bus instead. The weather also posts another diversion, so it was a good call by the company.

I hope this bit of info helps fuel the optimism for Jess and her followers! :)

I love how optimistic they are through out the whole trip. If I am in that position where I only have 2 days in Boracay then those exact things will happen to me, most probably I'll be sad and disappointed the entire trip but seeing you guys still enjoyed the trip despite those unexpected things, it made me fell in love more with this trio. I'm really hoping to see more of this kind of vlog in the future with Lia without 'H' hahahah and Ely.

Idk but Lia's humor gets me everytime lol. Definitely need a friend like her in my life. She seems like someone whos so fun to be around and that you'll never get tired to hang out with. Anyway, glad to see that you still enjoyed you're trip in Boracay even tho the weather wasn't good. It’s true what they say that good company with good vibes makes an extraordinary trip. Regardless of how there were delays and detours and other obstacles you were all making the best out your flight to Bora and your first day there. I can already tell that Jessica and Lia’s more the outgoing ones while Ely is more reserved which is a good dynamic within an awesome group. Enjoy the rest of your stay! The language in Aklan is actually different. It’s Akeanon. Also, Hiligaynon is the language used in Bacolod and Iloilo. The term Ilonggo pertains to the people from Iloilo. This confusion is also apparent among Ilonggos. 😊
