When London was full of normal people Oi-Oi!

This is what this country need my generation back again

That brought back some memories. Skinhead since 1967. Chelsea born and raised, still in the same council flat. Well into my 60s now. I wonder where they all went. I know a few of them have gone to meet their maker. Beautiful, emotional video, and who can't resist the Last Resort's £8 a week. Skinhead Forever Forever a Skinhead. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

I remember sleeping rough in that graveyard, summer of '83.

Bring back the good old days

The first song '8 pound a week' was originally by Coventry band SQUAD, I knew one of their original drummers, he lived here in Cornwall for a few years. Terry Hall was their singer before SQUAD recorded anything!

I look at all these pictures on line of the Skinheads back in the day and it makes me realise  our little crew of skins never ever had one picture taken of us , we never hung out in these areas where it was cool to be noticed ,we lived a life of gluesniffing and thieving ,hiding out like sewer rats !! looking back its shame really .

At 00:53 the guy in the Lonsdale sweatshirt & glasses is Roi Pearce of the Last Resort. Camera then pans right & I think it's Steve Pear with the longer, rockabilly hairstyle, who was an original member of the 4-Skins & after that there's a cut to a punk girl with pink hair who I think is 'Wobble', a punk girl who was from Hertfordshire but who used to be in London a lot back then.

I miss the youth cultures of the late 70's / 80's, Mod, punk, skin, Ted, i liked bit of everything then plus other music like XTC , talking heads, the Cures early stuff as in 3 imaginary boys LP period, i got into Mod in a big way but eventually just dressed how i wanted too while still listening to the sounds of the time, great memories of going down Carnaby street & to gigs, saw The Jam, Clash, Ramones, first P.I.L. gigs, Redskins, Secret Affair, XTC, Banshees,,great times

I was a punk once & I was always jrunk🛸🧷🎸😎👍

Looks like Ann Wobble with the pink hair.

Good all Times❤

Majority of punks were middle class, squatting for no reason to look cool.
