Dungeon Settlers combines colony management with party-based dungeon crawling, which means I get to build a functional settlement and then immediately risk everyone’s lives underground.

In this three-hour playthrough (Speedx2), we work through the Tutorial and demo, establish our expedition, learn the settlement systems and descend into the dungeon for some real-time-with-pause combat. Along the way, we gather resources, build camps, manage injuries and discover that the local wildlife has made several alarming dietary choices.

This is not a full commentary playthrough, so settle in and join me while I learn the systems, make increasingly confident decisions and hope the surgery table remains purely decorative (It does not...).

Dungeon Settlers is being developed by South Korean indie studio CanOpener and published by CanOpener and WhisperGames. It is currently scheduled to enter Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026.
