Hope you enjoyed this first episode of what I imagine is gonna be a looong series.

judging by how huge this game actually is and how much there is to talk about in it

Please leave feedback so I can improve each time and give you want you want to see 💪🏻😉

I think that line just the two of us staring at the water has a double meaning here. James in the car staring at the water and at the backseat is👀

I always assumed that this jukebox is a reference to the 2006 Silent Hill Movie. In the film, the main character, Rose wakes up in a bowling alley and the Jukebox played music. I remember how fans said "How is that Jukebox playing? Shouldn't it make scratching noises like the radios?" I guess Bloober just want to say these Jukeboxes can work fine in Silent Hill maybe. I don't know.

I think that the three labrynths *desolate area, rotten area, and ruined area), while obviously representing the pre-arrival home lives of our three adults (James, Eddie, and Angela respectively), but I think they are also how each of the three are experiencing the town.

Desolate area is James, which doesn't look too different than how we are seeing the town - fundown, barren, but there are signs of lashing out with the scars on the walls. We're seeing how he lived right before arrival - directionless, isolated, with bouts of rage all alone in that empty house. Now that he was committed murder, there are 'monsters' for him to lash out on.

Ruined area is Angela, a hard to navigate house layout with a tiny bed in a tiny corner, where monsters (her family) lay in tense silence before all hell breaks loose, representing a violent outbreak, with red lights and screaming siren. Is this how she sees Silent HIll (with fire, of course)? Are the monsters laying flat then burst into aggression? Is there rusty, grotesque architecture as opposed to Jame's abandoned, water-logged experience?

Rotten area is Eddie, and unlike James and Angela I think he's experiencing the town as populated, albeit with weird unnatural people, but certainly more human looking. I think the corpses we find him with are his monsters. Now that they're dead, maybe James can see them? We know that Eddie sees frozen meat in his boss fight, and as his area looks like the walls are skin, the fridge (the thing that killed his first 'monster' in the apartment) is filled with organs, maybe that's what he's seeing in the town. Leathery building that are more like monsters themselves that houses, the monsters are humanoid and cruel with their words.

What do you think?

My boy admitted he was wrong.. shout-out to big homie 42😂

Can we all agree that this is a absolutely gorgeous looking game.. The themes of SH 2 are so grounded in reality , when it comes to flaws of the human condition, and the horrible things we are Capable of doing to each other.. Hits so hard , it's surreal.

Going to the terminal cancer ward of these hospitals, there are loved ones of people on their death beds , husbands and wives having to grieve, day end and day out.. Whose to say some of them just want thier life back , and for them to just pass on.. So that husband or wife , can get thier life back again And Move on ?

Whose to say?? SH 2 is so good..

Just finished the game the other day 10/10 for me cant wait for this series

I've always seen silent hill 2 and 4 as connected to each other because they have similar rotten grey looking environments and art style. But also Frank Sunderland is in 4.

Omg! I JUST got what the groping around in the skull was! Very subtle, but thats whaat makes this game awesome!

I'm sure you've found this by now thru one of your many playthroughs  but maybe just MAYBE you didn't know (or find) that right when you come out this gate 15:33 and turn to your right there's a glimpse of the past! It's the one where on the OG version you find  one of the loop James's holding the Wood Creek apartment key

Thank you for making this video. You certainly made some points that I hadnt thought before like James washing his hands and the save file etc

18:50 Ok I call the legs monster, scissors. So James and PH having half of scissors just follows with my head cannon

I stumbled upon one of your videos and checked if you retracted some of your views after the game came out. Im glad you came around. Respect. The game’s a masterpiece.

Dude... (For risk of sounding like a complete fanboy) 😅, that was outstanding! You have a great voice for these kinds of videos. I think you'd be an amazing narrator (might be an idea to pursue) can't wait for the rest man, well done! 😁

I’m chronically ill and so I have a love-hate relationship with this game. Wouldn’t buy it… But then the voice acting in that intro totally changed my view. He actually SOUNDS like someone who secretly hates himself. Makes it make sense. Somehow feels… validating I guess? The symbolic guilt around town is one thing, but his tone of voice trying desperately to get him to admit it to himself right from the start is incredible. 10/10 voice acting

The moment the vinyl record goes haywire and cracks is so heartbreaking. I hate it.

21:40 if the substance was red i would say that the game is telling James that he has been caught red handed. idk lol

I only finished this week, it was one done SO well that I needed mental health breaks. Silent hill is my favourite series and like a lot of people, I have obsessed over for 1/3 of my life.
This remake was so beyond my expectations, especially after seeing a lot of troll and angry content from specific people on social media and YouTube. I'm so glad bloobs got it and I really hope they now consider 1 and possibly 3. But I think 1 needs a rehash. It deserves some praise

Love your explanation on the easter eggs i learned some new things thanks

Man I need part 2 like yesterday 😆, played through twice now and whilst I still hold the original to a higher regard bloober team definitely surpassed my expectations, the prison area in particular was top notch spooky atmosphere time I was in no rush to explore that place, looking forward to seeing the rest of this man nice job.
