I don’t think no video game intro can top this I don’t think people realize how hard this goes, almost every rapper at that time in one video game I’d love to see a new def jam game like this with modern rappers mixed in with half of this games roster but with gaming nowadays guys like D-Mob and Crow would probably be apart of a $30 battle pass or bundle 😂😂

This game was so ahead of it's time. Def Jam Fight for NY oozed style & uniqueness. Amazing character roster. Amazing soundtrack. Amazing fight mechanics & gameplay. Amazing story mode. No doubt one of the greatest fighting games of all time.

The fact that this game for over a decade STILL doesn't have a remaster is just a robbery..

The craziest thing to me is that they managed to get the voices of all those rappers into a single game. I doubt that kind of thing is even possible these days.

The raw energy this game exuded was everything and is the epitome of what a fighting game should play and feel like. This game was undoubdedly wayy ahead of its time and i cant express that enough.

I remember playing this game on the PS2 it was well worth it during my middle school and high school years. The intro from beginning to end you know shit is gonna get real ugly and fast
