I remember Messi's first goal at Barcelona, my dad said "hey look at TV, they say this new kid will be next Maradona". My dad is Maradona's fan, today my dad say Messi might be better than Maradona. Beside all huge numbers and trophies, we might never see a talent like this, we are lucky to live in Messi's era.

Last match for country at 39 years old: 1 goal + 2 assists.

And it was kinda symbolic that one of the assist was for Nico Paz, who will wear his iconic #10 jersey.

The Benin goal keeper was really good. Without him it would have been 7-0 and Messi would have had a hat trick

In my opinion, he was the greatest player football has ever seen. We were lucky to have witnessed him live. Goodbye, GOAT. No one will probably ever be missed as much as you.

You aren't just taking a game with you; you're taking our childhood and the very reason we fell in love with football. Every time you stepped onto the pitch, you showed us that miracles could be real. You were the definition of an era, Messi. These eyes will always feel so lucky to have watched you. Thank you for everything, Legend! 🐐👑

Good bye Leo 💔

Thank you for every goal, every trophy, every unforgettable moment.

You didn't just play football — you made us fall in love with it.

The end of an era
The legacy will live forever.

As a fan, saying goodbye to you is truly heartbreaking.
Thank you, Messi, for giving our generation such beautiful football.goodbye legend 🐐💔❤️

Goodbye Messi GOAT 🐐👑❤️

I am a Bangladeshi and a supporter of Argentina. I have supported this team since childhood. As for Messi—he is unforgettable, and I will never forget him. He is truly a living legend of football. As the saying goes, legends never die; he will remain in everyone's hearts forever. Farewell to the undisputed king of football.

There will never be someone like him ever again!

The goalkeeper was very good. Messi gave his all in this match. It was lovely to watch. Benin didnt hand it over to him and argentina. Salute to the Benin goalkeeper and the team.

Hey messi😢love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 🇦🇷

End of an era💔Thank you Messi

It's not just the best player in history but also the most humble person ever! That's why I love him!

I’ve been a fan of Messi, since I was five years old. During elementary school Id get dogged on for being a Messi fan over Ronaldo but I always pick Messi. When Messi won the World Cup, I’ve never felt so much joy now to see him retire. I’m so sad, but I’m very glad I got to experience life with this goat.

I'm 61..saw him rise and saw him shine; left leg or right leg the goals just came; Header and scissor kicks, all just amazing.
Forever I can't see another one..come near to this being.
Farewell a man who is a legend forever.

Legendary Messi ❤
We will always remember this day 😢

The great Benin Rep. your name is embedded in the heart of every Argentine who loves football, amazing Messi chose to retire from country football against you, doesn’t matter if you loose or win, I hope this strengthens both countries relationship.

Don't cry because it ended, smile because it happened 🥲
Thank you Leo, football feels empty without you🐐♥

MESSI An absolute legend of the game. Thank you for inspiring us both on and off the pitch. You are leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten🫡
