The old ball bag looking Pattaya-tards have found this video, and are making a lot of assumptions.

If you aren't open to hearing criticism, this video isn't for you, and I don't even know why you watched it - are you rage baiting yourself?

Something to note: my last visa rejection was over 6 months ago, so this wasn't a case of "oh my visa got rejected I don't even like Thailand anyway" - I have had time to reflect, and this was my findings as a young man trying to build something meaningful, the visa situation gave me a push for me to look elsewhere and to access my options, which is what I did.

I still have a lot of love for Thailand, and I didn't think I was OVERLY negative in this video, I have just shared my findings so that others in a similar position to me can make smart decisions for themselves, of course if you are retired a lot of my opinions won't matter to you because you're chilling - this video was made for young guns trying to find their way in the world.

If you watch something like this and your immediate response is to be defensive - it says a lot about you.

I am incredibly grateful for my time in Thailand - really I can't stress that enough, I became a man in Thailand, what an incredible journey it was.

great vid. great to hear the perspective of somebody who lived there for multiple years. i personally prefer thailand over vietnam or bali any day of the week as i have my own little vietnam pstd. i feel like that people there are way more out to get you whereas thai people where always friendly to me. as for where to live i want to add 1 thought: i have heard on 2 ocasions now that it is less importand where you go, but who you are when you go. But i also always will support somebody leaving a place. anyways good luck in eastern europe.

What many people have found is that Thailand is a great place to live whether you're young like you or older and retired.
One of my older friends told me that Thailand is a great place to retire or vacation. But, you must make your money in your home country. Thailand was never really that friendly to vacationers or visitors of any group. But they do treat you well and those Thai Smiles will melt even the hardest of person.

We all jump through hoops for visas in Thailand but your experience sounds like a frustrating nightmare. Most importantly you say Thailand is not in line with your goals, so good for you that you're leaving. I'm sure you'll reinvent yourself. All the best.

I just got back from Thailand and Da Nang Vietnam trip. Vietnam is scenic with natural nature views but is like camping compared to how much more Thailand has to offer

So much here is simply not the case in my experience. Bangkok has been my home for 22 years and been in and out of Thailand for 37 years. Literally more than half my life. I’ve never been treated badly by Thais. In fact quite the opposite. Never had any visa problems. Was on a non-o working visa for the first 9 years, and been on a marriage visa, retirement visa and now on a privilege visa for the past five years (very convenient). My wife and I own a lovely 16 million baht house in an upscale area of Bangkok, own a BMW, a motorcycle, have a maid, a gardener, get excellent healthcare, have close friends, nice neighbors, eat out most every meal, travel a lot, and I spend most days playing guitar and living a life of leisure. I’ve always much preferred Bangkok over any city in my home country (USA), or anywhere else in the forty countries I’ve been to. I can understand how it’s not for everyone, but I can’t think of any place better.
Side note: helps enormously if you speak Thai. 🙏

Honestly probably for the best. I was a teacher in Thailand in 2011. Foreigners tend to get stuck in Thailand and stop exploring other places. There might be some other place you like more. I known I don’t miss living in Thailand but to visit? Absolutely lovely country.

20:10 a good point Thailand is more of a place to retire not to build a life so it’s much more feasible for someone in their 50s or 60s to move to Thailand then somebody in their 20s or 30s

These challenges are difficult but you will grow stronger from them and have more to your story of life

Maybe Czech republic is a good base to start from. Bald and bankrupt seems to be there and is quite chill

The UK has some great bits but it's going through quite a transition time period atm. It's doing the same thing here that the Thai people are doing towards foreigners there. It's a complicated situation.
