The fact I used to enjoy his content and be very anti-woke myself sickens me. Glad I got out of that rabbithole and realised I'm one of the wokest people in my city!

That Spider-Verse take is hot garbage. Peter wasn't pushed as inferior. He was respected through his original dimension self having an eventful life and positive reputation; and his alternate self had a story arc where he was reminded that he is good enough and he is worthy of happiness despite his bad luck and failings.

The second movie basically showed his character arc was completed and now he's living in a better place. But the "straight white male" being victimized is the narrative that needs to be run.

That's so blatantly a racist-pandering piece of crap.

Anti-woke people complaining about Warhammer 40k being woke is so weird. Like, holy shit, do they not realize it's a satire of right-wing ideologies?

Why haven’t all of these woke companies gone broke yet lmfao

"The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views, which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering."

It's been nearly fifty years since those words were spoken. They have always been true, but it's depressing how increasingly relevant they have become in a post 2016 world.

They focused so much on Miles on Spiderverse that never crossed to their minds the First movie appearance of Sun Spider, a disabled LGBT female spider person...

Notice that because the general consensus towards Baldur's Gate 3 is that it's a phenomenal RPG, these people were willing to completely overlook the fact that the game is pro-LGBT. Why? Because that would then expose them for being culture vultures. They don't have a single personal belief of their own. Whatever makes them money is all that matters.

That Gina Carano flip flop is pathetic. He went from "ew, what is this girl even doing here?" to praising her as some heroine who's seeking new heights in entertainment.

I mean, sure, Carano wanted to try her hand at acting, she has the freedom to do that, but let's not suck her off like Disney needed her to live on for another year.

He already made a "critique" of Agatha All Along. Because reviewers apparently don't wait for shit to actually be viewable before deciding to make a 20 minute video about it.

That "why doesn't Peter keep his kid away from danger?"

Why do Miles and Gwen, a couple of teenagers, risk their lives? That isn't realistic either... oh, wait, we're going to nitpick selectively.

The only rivalry between Miles and Peter is Queens vs. Brooklyn.

I spotted the main problem with these "anti-woke" reviewers quite some time ago: their sole argument being "it's woke therefore it's bad" requires them to never review movies like "Nimona" and to totally ignore that many heroes have always been woke - Superman? A dark haired hero in a time when the convention was that the hero be blond. The X-Men? DEI hires the whole lot of them. Kirk giving Uhura a kiss? Fucking outrageous, how dare he?

Point: Batista's character wasn't jacking it in that scene.  We were initially supposed to interpret that as him catching his girlfriend cheating on him with his much more powerful "friend" who he can't do anything to offend, thereby giving him motivation to murder him.

SPOILER

Then we find out that he was actually using her as a honeypot to manipulate said "friend" to give him a valuable business opportunity, so he was just making sure she was going through with it, therefore completely taking away his motivation to want him dead for constantly flirting with his girlfriend, as that's exactly what he wants.

I'm Scottish and his accent is forced, I've never met one person that speaks like him.

Channels like Actual Fandom, Turf Nation, AirrickDebunks, and Organized Chaos have also done a great job calling out the fandom menace if anyone wants to support them. I got into so many arguments with anti-fans during the Acolyte thing where they would freely admit they hadn't seen the show and weren't going to because "they already knew it would be terrible" It was honestly insane how mad they would get when you called them out on it. They would repeat the same talking points over and over. I had one guy actually say "You don't have to watch something to know it's bad and it shouldn't matter that if he didn't watch the thing he's criticizing" It just proves Birdman's point about them being parrots who don't have any real opinions of their own.

I always thought "cinema sins" was just a joke. It always sounded like a joke to me.

As a Europaen, hearing Americans say Hispanics can't be white, hurts my brain

The Quartering is the worst for this , always ranting about GW but he can't even get basics like pronouncing the faction names correctly

Even back when I was in the anti-woke pipeline I didn't like this particular guy. I immediately clocked him as someone who knows nothing about media criticism when he went on a rant about "theme" ruining media, as if stories having themes was something new or particular to "wokeness". This was shortly after "The Last Jedi" came out

Finally!! I always knew these guys were cringe!! Anti-woke is just alt-right but for nerds.
