Victor Kavanaugh is the only person in FROM who has already watched this town kill everyone in it once before. 40 years, two families, and one unbroken chain of instructions from a boy who finally started aging.

This is the complete Victor Kavanaugh deep dive. Every confirmed fact the show has given us, his entire timeline rebuilt in chronological order, everything he knows that the rest of the town doesn't, and the questions Season 5 has no choice but to answer.

We go all the way back to Miranda's visions in Camden, the bottle tree she built in her own backyard before she ever set foot in the town, the night in the root cellar, the church basement memory the town spent four decades editing, the Boy in White's three survival rules (and the third one nobody ever heard), and why Victor training Ethan might be the single saddest thing this show has ever done.

Then we run the ledger of nine things Victor knows that we still don't, and I give you my four theories going into Season 5.

⚠️ FULL SPOILERS through the Season 4 finale.

I was wondering why The Man in Yellow can easily kill people directly but with Victor he had to convince someone else to kill him. The same goes for Ethan as he had to try & convince Sarah to kill Ethan. They must be protected within the rules of the game.

Something crazy I noticed on rewatch. When Tabitha is in Maine Victor's house is blue and the house next door is yellow (just like the 2 house in town and the 2 colors we see all over the show) but Victor drew a happy pic of his family in front of the yellow house. If the houses in Maine are in the fromville then each building in the town could be from the real world. Each one belonging to the lone surviving child. That would also explain why every building is from a different time period. Awesome video, I hyped it!!

No one is talking about the possibility that Victor is the anomaly here
Hear me out, what if the man in yellow didn't know Victor was hiding in the root cellar, the massacre was supposed to kill everyone in the town, but Victor is alive, new people arrive and MIY doesnt realise it until now
Victor needs to die for the MIY to win BUT the Boy In White has Victor as an ace up his sleeve

In the school, the missing alphabet letters on the wall are C, I, O, R, T and V. Rearranged spells Victor, the missing piece.

Is it just me or is everyone overlooking that boyd was the first person to find the talimans? I’m thinking they were used in the 70s. Look at Christopher, he seems pretty chill playing with his dolls, he doesnt strike me as hes scared of the sun going down. I think were just seeing another loop. MIY is back and hes doing the same thing again, taking everyones talismans without them realising - hence how the massacre happened outside their houses in the 70s. MIY put them in the farway tree and Boyd found them where they landed all those years later. Victor was just too young to realise. Just my theory anyway not sure if this was already obvious or already been brought up

I think Victor is the key to sooo many things. They have hidden from us why and how Victor's family left without Henry, his arrival into town, what happened the night of the massacre and his connection to the BIW. I've obsessed over all of this since season 2 and can't believe they've held back on the answers til season 5 but it also makes me think the reveals will that much crazier.

Unrelated, but I love how chill your commentaries are! Not in a boring way at all, you can tell you're passionate about what you're talking about, but I really appreciate that you don't constantly throw in loud reaction clips, random sound effects, etc. It's weirdly hard to find on YouTube these days. I'm sure it works for some creators, but personally I can't stand when all that stuff keeps interrupting the actual commentary, or when the volume suddenly jumps because some clip or effect is absurdly loud, lol

Okay, hear me out on a theory I haven't seen anyone mention.

What if some of the characters had already encountered the Man in Yellow/entity in the real world before they ever got to Fromville, but didn't realize who/what he was?

For example, Jade mentioned that after his grandmother died, he met a kind stranger at the airport. And Boyd met a man called Brian Kelly from his time in the Army, Brian and Kelly where on the bus. What if these seemingly random people/encounters are actually connected to the entity somehow?

Maybe the characters aren't simply randomly chosen and sent to Fromville. Maybe the entity has been interacting with or influencing their lives before they ever see the tree.

I have the bluetooth Manta Sleep mask and it is so incredible! I like to listen to stories as I sleep and I haven't made it five minutes into a podcast or story thanks to this thing. I wake up with so much energy and I actually sleep through the night. I'm really happy for you for getting the sponsorship. I had to cosign because these masks are so worth it!

I think the tree that blocks the road is the bottle tree in the begging, and In the end the tree got ripped out again what we seen in the end of season 4, so the end is the beginning

Would you ever consider doing a deep dive into every season of from? Not to put more work on your plate, but I have been rewatching your videos and I love your takes and love for the show! I’ve also been rewatching the show to see it in a different perspective and I think there’s a lot of material there for connecting the dots and examining it with a season 4 point of view! I would also love to know about your favourite theories you’ve heard of/come up with! Anyways, I love your videos and keep up the good work!

(Related to my first comment)

I think Ethan will become the new Victor, a guide for the people of Fromville, but only in the next cycle. I can see the series ending with another total massacre, similar to what Victor went through, with Ethan being one of the few survivors. But Ethan is very different from Victor in how he handles grief and trauma. He wouldn't shut down or refuse to act, and he'd actually step up to guide people. So I could see the ending implying that this cycle was the last one to end in tragedy, and that the next cycle, with Ethan as its guide, will finally be the last one altogether.

Thank you Jerry! Victor is my heart. I adore him!

I started watching FROM during the weekly release of season 3, because my brother and some friends of ours had weekly watch-partys. During my binge I talked to my brother about theorys and hints and stuiff. I talked about Victors drawings and me wondering who the man in yellow is. I catched up before the end of the weekly releases and started participating in the watch-parties. How I screamed during the S3 finale.

Eloise being dead isn't a huge problem there ... Father Katri and Abby still talk to Boyd 😂

@LeeLee-hz2jq 17 hours ago

I did think in the first season that kill the boy could have been Victor. The monsters dont want to kill him. they didnt attack him in the tunnels. Then "the town" convinces the father to sever the anchor. He seems to have some protection. He is my favorite character.

@Clara.Spectra 1 month ago (edited)

From the start, I felt like they were setting Ethan up to be the new Victor, basically the new kid who survives a total massacre and becomes, willingly or unwillingly, the guide for the next cycle. Someone who has seen things and remembers them, so he can issue warnings and explain certain things. But I don't think he would refuse the role the way Victor does, simply because they seem to handle grief and trauma very differently.

Regardless of that, I really love Victor's character. I like the writing, the story, and the actor is just AMAZING.
I just wish we could see more of him and Sara interacting, because in their own different ways, they're both more informed about the city/entities than most of the others, yet they get brushed off way too often and never talk to each other? That's sooo frustrating, tbh 😩

The creators said Eloise is dead and won't be in the series

@liberated7 2 weeks ago (edited)

The answer is that, the bottle tree that was severed was not supposed to be; it is important to perform the ritual, which is the symbolism in the starting scene of the first episode. The tree blocks the road because it was severed in the future; if the tree were not severed, there would have been no tree blocking the road. In the beginning, it shows that the ritual was rightly performed and no one will get into the endless loop.
