Lou Ferigno was a better looking Hulk than CGI today

The last part where he's hitchhiking and the music made me cry as a young child.

I was born deaf so Lou was always a hero of mine

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lou & can tell you the man is/was(pardon the pun) without a doubt INCREDIBLE! He gave the majority of credit for success of the Hulk to Bill Bixby including HIS success.

The Incredible Hulk was my favorite show when I was a kid.

Along with The Six Million Dollar Man, The Hulk had to be the coolest thing ever to be on TV for a kid in the 70's.

I used to hide behind the couch as a kid when he started turning into the Hulk because his eyes changing looked terrifying to me, along with that haunting music.

The shirts, I remember a scene where Banner was walking through someone's yard and took a shirt off of a laundry line and pined some cash back on the line with the clothes pin.

The Lonely Man is now a musical meme. It tugs at your heart strings.🎹😢💔

The "where does he get his new clothes from" is answered in at least one episode. When David wakes up after The Hulk's done his thing, he raids clotheslines where people are drying their shirts and takes something that reasonably fits, uttering words of apology, and occasionall leaving behind a $10 or $20 dollar bill.

This show and the Christopher Reeve Superman films were my introduction to superheroes. I'll always have a soft spot for the Hulk, and LF will always be my Hulk 😊

Bill Bixby absolutely deserves his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
I still remember that scene where he was crying while transforming when he realized he lost the only chance to find a cure, since the antidote was crushed on the wall, was worthy of an Oscar.

That show was remarkably sad. The theme always made me tear up.

To protect his bare feet, Lou Ferigno wore green house slippers. If you look closely you can see them when he's running.

When my Mom was a nurse, one of her young patients didn't want to get an X-ray because he was afraid of turning into The Hulk

This is one of the first TV show that I can remember. Used to look forward to watching every week when I was like 3 years old

Ted Cassidy, who played Lurch in the TV series The Adams Family was the narrator for The Incredible Hulk.

In the comic books his full name is Robert Bruce Banner

Hearing the the "Lonely Man" theme bring a tear to my eye now. Bill Bixby was such a good actor that he could personify the song. I grew up watching him in various movies and I never missed The Courtship of Eddie's Father. He is missed.
