I loved how progressive this show was, in having Blanche be an older woman who is proud of her looks, and never fails to attract any admirers. I also admired how she told Rose that AIDS wasn't a "Bad Persons Disease", after Rose questions why she was at risk of contracting AIDS, and not Blanche.

I love how even though she's a "bed hopping relic", she clearly has refined taste. She doesn't like deadbeat, broke, and unorganized men. She still has standards.

the writing is just impeccable, one of the strongest comedy in the history of television, Susan Harris is a genius and head of her times.

"We was po'." Has to be the hardest laugh i've had in a long time

Even Betty White admitted that although she had played Sue Ann Nivens before, Rue McClanahan had put Blanche into orbit that Betty herself would have never dared to go.

Blanche surely was a character who brought quite a spark to this show . She truly brought the essence and energy which made this show epic .

Chiiiiile.....Sophia talking "Southern" had me sooo weak! "We was po" 😂😂😂😂😭😭

“Well mercy me, looks like my little magnolia done turned into a big ho” sent me 🤣🤣🤣

You forgot Jason, the theater buff she was dating while using her granddaughter as her own daughter.  She mentions how Jason wants to have a baby of their own, and Dorothy suggest Blanche wait a few more years and Medicare will pay for the baby 🤣😂

There isn’t any actress in the world, ever who could portray Blanche Devereaux, the way, Rue McClanahan did. She was sweet she was sexy, she was feisty, and she she was hilarious. Rue had excellent comic timing and could create chemistry and awkwardness equally well and there will never be any one like her!

Rue was the youngest Golden Girl, twelve years younger than Bea and Betty, and ten years younger than Estelle.

2023 and I STILL keep coming back to this series; HILARIOUSSSSSS!!
💀💀💀💀

I was very young when this show came out, I never viewed them as old, just as women

I just adored her costumes. No wonder she arranged to keep them. I would just love copies! And oh my. That was supposed to be a motel room? I want it in my house.

“I don’t know I never tried to turn it off”
“I like to put out”
“He’s gonna be standing up with his clothes on”

Rip Rue, gone too soon can't believe she'd be 88 now😢💕💐⭐

"OHH HOW COULD YOU BEN, BOB, BILL!?!"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The 80’s furniture and clothes style reminds me of my Grand-mom’s house, God rest her soul!!

Funny tidbit (whether intentional or not) is that in Blanche's line “Oh, how could you, Ben, Bob, uh, Bill?” the names are the same as the names in the story about her losing her virginity. "That night under the dogwood trees, the air thick with perfume, and me with Billy... or Bobby? Yeah, Bobby. Yeah, it was Bobby... or was it Ben? Oh, who knows! Anyway, it started with a B!”

Ted: Thanks for everything.
Sophia: Why? You didn’t get everything😭😭
