Move to the Balkans, trains don’t work, most government services don’t work, but we have few things in common with Japan, salaries stay the same and people get older too.

Working from 9 in the morning to 8 at night is diabolical

Japan have been living in year 2000 since the 70s. They still are.

Despite how terrible things are for the average person over there... the abundance of cheap, high-quality food, public transportation, and lots of things walking distance are things I wish we had here

Living in Japan looks so depressing like some kind of a dystopia

Insane you can't leave work until your boss decides they have had enough for the day, what an utter waste of time! You cannot plan anything in the evening because you have no idea when you will get home and I'm assuming you don't get paid any overtime for staying back?

My father worked his whole life and retired with only his social security he had nothing after working 40 years he’s passed away I miss him he was my best friend we would do everything together

Beautiful country but terrible working conditions. The government needs to do more to protect its workers. A life outside of work is extremely important to overall health.

This is one of the most eye-opening channels on YouTube. It’s fascinating, and quite dismaying at how awful work culture in Japan can be in these black companies.

On a side note, I’m closing in on turning 50 and it’s been over 40 years since I was able to get a breakfast for $2!

I think you should be proud of the work you're doing on YouTube ! And you should be proud of your ability to speak a foreign language so well, which demonstrates your ability to look outwards, through the lens of other cultures.

Both of these prove that no matter how restrictive your job is, you don't let it consume your entire life. You're still pushing to do things you want to do. And I think you should take a lot of satisfaction and pride in that !

With such a commitment and discipline you guys deserve a far better life.

I mean if prices stayed the same and salaries did too it would be pretty sweet. Not like here now where prices increase way faster than salaries :(
