The Snake at 7:55 was a cottonmouth (Agkistrodon piscivorus), sometimes known as a water moccasin due to its semi-aquatic nature. Very venomous, you were at a good distance. Usually they will leave you alone or slither away if you get close. You pretty much (not all the time, but most) have to step on it or pester it/corner it to get bit. So do watch your step out on your adventures.
