I dont normally comment on your vids but man "no one wants to see someone be bad" this couldnt be more wrong. You have identified an issue with your playing and want to fix it and get better. Thats inspirational. People want to see that. Improving stuff is great content. Being human and yourself is great content. This is seriously one of the best videos you have ever done. A foot masterclass with Matt. Fucking hell, thats great

Craig just paid for me to have a drum lesson. Cheers.

Watching a literal pro drummer learn new things is more valuable than any of the thousands of edited showoff videos that are online.

This video is worth thousands of dollars and we watch it for free. You have helped a lot of people dude.

bro fuck the haters if you didn’t deserve to be where you are, you wouldn’t be there! always remember that homie 💪🏽

So, you just gifted us a 50-minute lesson with the god of drums. KING.

This lesson is actually invaluable. Thanks to you both.

Bro moved to Nashville and grew the mullet. He's officially one of us. Legend.

Matt Garstka works at as small non-profit drum clinic with kids down in southern Maryland (Somar Drummers). It's not well known because it's a little place tucked away in southern Maryland. Does he need to be doing that? Absolutely not, he's Matt Garstka. But that speaks volumes about his character. He seems like a good dude. I've tried getting my kids into drumming for opportunities exactly like this, but man they couldn't give two shits about playing drums. Damn kids...I'd have killed to have that when I was starting out.

Doing a guest episode each time you have a drummer on and having them teach you a technique they use to play would be sick. Imagine all the great drummers that you've had on that can come through and show you new things. Maybe even they can teach you the hardest song they play in their bands?

There is no person on this planet that would listen to guillotine and say craig is a bad drummer

A few thousand people tapping their feet’s together across the world. Thanks Gents!

Dude, I'm so freakin' proud of you! It takes so much balls in this day and age to openly show a path to improvement. This right here is what the internet was made for, before it got overrun by boys pretending they know everything and hate on people rather than helping them get better.
Thank you so much for this resource!

Nah it takes a lot of balls to make a vid of you eating dirt and then show it to so many people. This is a great idea and there are so many of us who really appreciate this. You’re a good student, Craig!

The most real drum video I've seen. Seeing a drummer as good as you struggle with new concepts is strangely reassuring. "real practice.. It fucking sucks" 100%. Thanks dude.

Craig this is absolute gold, thank you. I cannot tell you how helpful everything about this video is. I’m a beginner, not had a kit for 8 years and was on the verge of quitting - seeing how hard you work and how even someone as good as you struggles with stuff sometimes has given me a second wind. Thank you ❤

I rarely comment on social media but what a cool and refreshing video. I’ve been playing for 25 years and all these drummers putting out videos doing crazy work on drums I still can’t play gets daunting. A beautiful part of playing music is you are always growing and chasing. Thanks again for this free lesson, cheers bro!

Please post more content like this. Young drummers need to see what real practice looks like.

Yo I did the same-ish thing with James Payne a few years back. It took about 2 months of daily practice and then one day it just all came together. But I had virtually no progress for 2 months and then all in one day, it was like "BAM YOU DON'T SUCK ANYMORE!!"
