When my young daughter was 16, her older brother passed away four days of 21 and I had a nervous breakdown. I’d lived very far away from my siblings, and it was probably the worst time in a young girl’s life that her mother could fall apart and wanna be somewhere else where she hope that she could pick up the pieces and put her life together again. Which is what I did unfortunately here we are now 15 years later neither her or her two brothers speak to me. Then again, of course all they ever heard was their fathers saying about how awful their mother was, and I was in no position to fight back, so yes, this movie touch me very deeply and made me cry. I miss my three children very much and I hate the fact that I know my daughter hates me and I don’t know what to do to make it better.

I love when a movie’s interior decor is so good that it sparks ideas for how I’d decorate my own space.

At 66 I shouldn't be crying at a great work of fiction but this one was a great true family movie filled with good morals and lesson's to learn to keep a family together in modern times shame the ending was cut as Clive turns around as he leaves his home for the last time without credits etc

Loved the sentiments of this movie, i am 70 and it grew on me and made me cry. Full movie, no adverts. A really good family movie.

I LOVED this movie. We all have regrets in our lives, things we should have done, should have said, which is why this movie touches us all.

RIP Martin Mull, loved him in Roseanne, and so many other shows and movies.  Rhea Pearlman is always a plesure to see in a movie also.

As much of a “jerk” as Clive was, he made some good points about Oliver’s family.

Had they continued to ignore and neglect Oliver, it would’ve been the end of their world… which is true.

What’s the point of being part of a family if they’re gonna spend all their time making the kid feel like he doesn’t matter?

At least Jenny apologised in the end.

After all, what’s worse - certain thoughts about you from other people or not sticking up for your younger sibling when you have the chance to?

I mean, it’s understandable. Who wants to “babysit” their siblings their whole lives?

“Watch out for Oliver, take care of Oliver, show Oliver right from wrong”

It’s that kind of expected responsibility that makes you think you shouldn’t be responsible for anybody but yourself.

But at the end of the day, they’ll still our brothers and sisters. And we shouldn’t let them feel like they can only count on themselves when times get tough.

None of us are in it alone.

The librarian acted in a great comedy series as a bartenderess/waitress.. Cheers was the comedy series. She was great. 😂😂😂😂

This was a wonderful, heartfelt movie that expressed its sentiments clearly.  Its a beautiful family movie that is ageless and timeless.  I rate this movie a 10.
