I agree with your sentiments. However, i feel TRC is doing the lottery to deter people who buy all the new items and then resell for exorbitant amount on ebay and the like. People like that ruin it for others who genuinely enjoy the brand.
It’s not just happening to TRC products but also Hobonichi.
I’ve read on forums where people have missed out on products due it selling out, only to find multiple listings on ebay and other sites for for that same product for $$$$.

That is so sad. Other people who want to profit ruin things for those who are true fans and want the items for their own use. People need to stop buying from resellers who charge incredible prices. That's the only way to stop the secondary market but i doubt that will happen. Sorry but so many things are being ruined now from greed! Thanks for the great video.

Thank you for the beautiful views of the new items. I enjoyed watching your video and seeing your collection of pencil boards. Also thank you for the honest thoughts about how the in store experience has changed for you. I personally would have been very disappointed, if I had been one of the tourists just arriving at the airport store. But as TRC has become more and more popular over the last five years, and the demand is constantly higher than the products available, the experience seems to weaken for everyone. This does not only go for a limited editions or yearly releases, but also for regular leather covers. For example, I went to South Korea this june and hoped to buy a new camel cover in standard size (they are much cheaper there than here Germany). It was an impossible untertaking. They were sold out in all colors and sizes all over South Korea.

Hi Lisa 👋 I hope you're happy and well 😊

I also really like the pencil board design for this year, and I enjoyed seeing your collection of pencil boards. It's awesome that you've been collecting them for so long 😺 💖

It's very disappointing that they didn't have display items available for people to look at and touch in store for the launch day.

I agree with you - it feels like the company has changed as they have become more successful, especially overseas. I totally understand they have put measures in place in the hopes that it will stop people from reselling at exorbitant prices, but hopefully they adjust their approach going forward. A large part of the appeal is the tactile experience in the store and the unique atmosphere it creates, so it's a real shame for them to take that away for the launch.

How long does this lottery go on? I will be there at the end of October and want to get the 2027 inserts. Are you saying I can't buy them unless I will this lottery? What???? Will I be able to buy the covers?
