This One Piece of Advice Changed My Art Forever! Last year, I had the opportunity to go to the studio of Robin Eley, and he dropped some absolute gems on me the entire time. In this video, I wrap up the painting of a pivotal piece in my practice and share some of the tips and tricks that he shared with me to help us all improve as artists!

I love this content; this is for artists who know what they are dealing with. This isn't condescending or gimmicky. It's informational and entertaining in the best way. Thank you for sharing your process, and being mindful of people who are students to the craft. I feel seen for the first time in a long time.

I’ve come from the skateboard challenge with Ten Hundred, Woak and Chuck Lee. Your board was amazing and I longed to see to see more of your work. I’ve subscribed. I’ve checked out your webpage - LOVE the elder spinning. Your flowers and light on this piece is breathtaking. I will be going back through your videos to catch up. TFS and I’m looking forward to future videos.

To me, painting has always been about making corrections. I’m glad you didn’t start over

Beautiful work totally worth the redo. Great content.
Sounds like the Boston school principals for painting light. Paul Ingbretson does a great series on that and impressionismo. Definitely some great tips in your video.

Seeing this makes me want to hit my oils again. Gorgeous and totally worth repainting.

Another fabulous piece. While the painting is 2D, the petals look like they are coming off the surface and other parts look like you will feel texture if you run your fingers across it. Your colour selection is a lovely explosion, and while there is a lot, everything looks in place. I love it - each time I look at it, I discover something new.

Just revisiting this video. One of my favorite artists is a guy who's work i found in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina... Terrance Osborne.. he has a totally different style, but uses lots of vivid color and this painting brings me the same joy... i bet his fans/clients would love your work.. my advice.. if you're on Instagram and have a bit of free time, interact with some of his followers so they check out your art..
