JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman expressed his frustration over alleged food mafia manipulation during an inflation control meeting with Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.
Amran highlighted the anomaly in chicken and egg prices: farmers complained about plummeting selling prices, threatening their businesses, while consumers also faced price issues in the market.
He urged law enforcement officials to take action against those suspected of manipulating the food supply chain and prices.
During the meeting, Amran also touched on Tito's track record while still serving as National Police Chief, including the arrest of terrorist Noordin M. Top.
Amran questioned why the parties he alleged were manipulating the food trade system had not been completely eradicated.

Coba kasih Grand Parent Stok ke rakyat, dan jangan tergantung ke Jagung/Kedelai. Sorgum dan Kecipir lebih bagus ketimbang jagung/kedelai. Minim air dan tidak rewel, panen lebih banyak di lahan terbatas, tinggi protein dan karbohidrat, bisa jadi silase, bisa jadi gula, bisa jadi arang, bisa jadi pupuk, mandiri benih.
