But for the vast majority of the season, it was terrible. Understeer, underpower, and everything else. So how did Jordan fix it and go from 8th in the standings to 4th in just four races?

I'm Irish, Jordan F1 are the sole reason RTÉ got a sweetheart rights deal to show the circus for 10 years (they didn't renew when Jordan went belly-up). While being able to get BBC and loving Murray as a commentator, I specifically remember flipping back from the Beeb to RTÉ to hear their comms at Spa '98, because Ireland had beaten the F1 world (with help from a British World Champion).

I was there in 98 for the first win ... and what a time to be alive.
Will always say though, it wasn't raining as heavily as it looked on TV. Most of what you saw was constant light rain and heavy spray.

Not quite the 98, but so happy the local vintage racers to me run the 97 Jordan chassis, they also run a 97 Benneton as well.
Repowered with Judd v10s, so not the full crazieness, but enought to keep me at full staff

Toleman didn't appear for the first 3 rounds of the 1985 season because they had angered both Pirelli and Goodyear with their behavior of switching between suppliers - they bought Spirit's Pirelli contract from them (the team was in dire straights and folded immediately after the contract was sold.), but not before heading to Japan to try to get Bridgestone or Yokohama to supply them.

I almost want a story on Gary Anderson. He feels like Martin Brundle would to many of the self important people somehow wandering the grid and pit lane. I suspect apart from some of his analysis many people still wonder who is this bloke and why do people stop when he speaks. They may know bits and pieces but there is bound to be some stories from the types of teams he worked with and things he done to get results

This race is brought up so many times but that isn't to say its overrated because it really was something to watch it happening. Murray's "Oh God" when Schumacher and Coulthard collided was classic Murray and you just knew how excited he must have got when he realised Hill was leading. I still have the VHS somewhere from when I recorded the race live on ITV.
