At Tri An Hydropower Plant, every decision to release water must follow a strict operating procedure, from the order of opening the 8 spillway gates, the discharge volume, to the warning signals. Behind these water releases is the balancing act between structural safety and minimizing the impact on the downstream Dong Nai River.
