Lou Ferigno didn't need CGI. He was the real Hulk.

I remember as a kid, playing outside, but as soon as 7pm came, I ran inside to watch this show, then went back outside and threw things like I was the Hulk.

It's a shame Big Louie was bullied a child due to his hearing impairment, but it drove him into bodybuilding, where it led him to be hired as the Hulk over Arnold Schwarzenegger and Richard Kiel.

Every friday our whole family would sit in front of the tv, 7pm sharp. Good times.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK EPISODE: A CHILD IN NEED:
I had the privilege in 2006 to meet my hero-Lou Ferrigno at the California State Fair in Sacramento! He was there as part of Marvel Superhero Week! I was abused as a child and I thanked him for the episode! I told him I dreamed he rescued me from my abuser-one of my mother’s many boyfriends! I only wish I could have met Bill Bixby as well!

I used to love to watch this show when I was a kid

Bixby doesn't have a star on the walk of fame...; what? That's nuts.

This show was way ahead of it's time! What drew me to it as a kid was Lou Ferrigno in the green make up, and what I found later when i watched in my early 20s was incredible (no pun intended) story telling and real character development! It's the complete opposite of modern comic book movies!

As to the star on the walk of fame, everyone has to pay to get one. It's not given to anyone living or dead.

I met Lou Ferrigno at a sci-fi convention last month. He signed my DVD collection of the tv series, and was a delight to talk with.

Incredible Hulk was a show I remember watching since I was about six. Kenneth Johnson who was the director asked in the commentary to the season premiere Promethius. He asked if anyone still had the Mad Magazine skit of the hulk show he directed to email him. I was the only one to email him scans I saved I found online 5 or 10 years prior. He mailed me an autographed black and white still of David putting on the contacts for the first time with Kenneth next to him. He signed it "To an incredible friend (name here)." I framed it and have it on my wall. Im just happy i was able to help someone who helped entertain me as a kid to a big fan as an adult.

It surprised me how much my mom enjoyed the show and how much she really paid attention to it and she even pointed out to me how he often ended up with women doctors or lady scientist by the end of the episode and I was like yeah that’s right he does doesn’t he?
