This is a good macrame for beginners, but once you get more comfortable with making macrame, then I highly recommend doing a wrapping knot at the top and also the bottom where it holds the pot in. Wrapping knots just give macrame plant hangers a more neat and polished look and are not that hard to learn with a little practice. A lot of people are okay with the large knot at the top and bottom, and that's okay too. I just prefer the wrapping knots myself.

Painters tape helps keep sections together, and stop the shower grommet circle thingy from knocking. I love you painters tape.
