LonnyJoco Loves To Boogie (045)

Two stepping into episode forty five with our first guests from the Netherlands, we are very happy to introduce to you, two of the funkiest out there right now, LonnyJoco. For them, it’s never been about BPMs or constant Hype— it’s about emotion. Seeing their role as DJs, solely as two shadows communicating truth through frequency. It’s about respecting the music played, and the culture that DJ’ing / Selecting holds. For them it’s about purity, playing Vinyl only and embracing its beauty of Sound, its History and the Human Error it brings with itself.

Beyond the decks, they are part of The Hague’s Mulatu Listening Bar team, run their intimate Club Night ALMA;RHYTHM, and host the radio show “WHYDOYOUCARE?” on Operator Radio— platforms where they celebrate the same love for music in conversation with other voices and perspectives. At the end of the day, it’s all about honesty, funk, kindness, and sharing the love of music. Nothing more, nothing less.

‘’With our mixes we  just want to represent how we feel in the moment. And whenever we enter the beautiful city of London, there is nothing else we want to play more than some sweet funk, two steppers and street soul. The happiness that we feel being in sunny London, eating Jamaican food all day, digging, and be only met with kindness wherever we go. There is almost nothing that compares. We are thankful to be invited to this space, to share our records. Sounds we dug up an hour before the mix, and others which never leave our bags. One love!”
