Honestly the idea of turning the vulture into a literal scavenger instead of just a flying bank robber was one of the best ideas in Homecoming

To be fair, SHIELD could have taken over the operation while keeping his services, so that's on them.

Vulture is the smart villain. His plan is to stay off the Avenger’s radar and make money.

And the  you get out of jail and end up in a strange world, standing in front of some sort of vampire man, who won’t stop shouting, “it’s morbin’ time”.

I love how they actually made The Vulture into a scavenger. That was a really cool idea

Wow, a villain perspective video where it ends with the villain still being alive. It's like spotting a unicorn.

Fun fact they’ve actually removed the 8 years later in later versions of the film due to it being wrong. Avengers takes place in May 2012 and the main part of Spider-Man: Homecoming in September 2016. They didn’t notice on their own fans actually had to point out the timeline inaccuracy to Marvel.

Does Hammer home that ending a little. So many times he tried to kill Peter, even after he saved his daughter's life. But Spider-Man still not only didn't try to kill him back, but risked his own life to save Toomes. He would totally respect the kid enough to not sell him out to The Scorpion.

To be fair, the government screwed him over first.

The US government promised him a high pay, ethical job, with steeply priced, but reasonable prerequisites.
After he paid for the prerequisites out of pocket, the US government stopped him halfway through the job, and refused to pay him at all.

I'mma be real, he had a very legitimate crash out.

This is why I love Homecoming, Vulture is such a compelling villain.

This rendition of the vulture is probably my favorite marvel villain. He is believable and reasonable through and through. Him turning to crime makes sense, the way he runs his crime business makes sense and he doesn't 1-dimensionally become obsessed with anything. He doesn't become blinded by greed or revenge against the hero who messes with his business. In the end, it's just business. And just like the twins in the ultron movie, he is a villain created by the shadow of the avengers, the destruction they leave behind for others to deal with and the lives they don't really see from their ivory tower. This also makes him the perfect villain to fight spiderman, since spiderman is a smaller scale, a more local hero, who always cares about the little man - the thing the avengers lack and that made him turn to crime. They could have easily kept him in the salvage operation or at least reimbursed him for his investments into it, but instead they decided to give him this golden goose and once hes devoted to taking care of it, they just throw him away like a used tissue. And another thing I really like about him, is that they keep the engineer of the adapted alien tech and the vulture seperate. Not every genius also has good leadership, management skills and is good at doing the field work. Tony Stark is like that, but he's an exception to a lot of rules. This seperation into the smart background guy and the one using the gear in the field and managing the whole business - that's another thing that makes this vulture rendition more believable and it lets us see more of the cool alien tech, as his technician can just keep tinkering with it while tombs is out getting him more. And respecting spiderman for his heroism and actions, despite them being natural enemies once again shows that "it's just business" mindset, making him not just a believable but also likable villain. Unlike ultron or that purple idiot who just wants to impress death, he is not a faulty villain driven by some faulty motivation.

What I mean by faulty motivation: ultron protects the wrong thing, which is the planet instead of the humans on it and thanos is lacking a fundamental understanding of logistics, politics and biology in his plan: Culling half of a race with slow reproduction would hurt them a LOT more than a race with fast reproduction, making them easy targets for other factions attacking them and culling half the population so suddenly leads to more death in the aftermath (logistics fall apart, people don't get the medicine, food or other necessities they require and with the infinity glove he would kill drivers, pilots, etc. while they are driving, resulting in extra casualties from suddenly uncontrolled vehicles). Realistically his plan would lead to the extinction of multiple species, as they wouldn't be able to recover from this sudden cataclysm (war, plummeting birth rates, etc.).

glad you made this video. This is one of the best MCU villans , so grounded, seeing things from his perspective is really cool

I have been trying to think of how Back to the Future would be from Biff’s perspective, and it is a little too short and disjointed. Basically a guy shows up for a week, makes friends with your bullying victim, and then plays a weird song at the school dance.

Now… the story from 1955 Doc’s perspective is crazy. You bonk your head and people from the future show up. You send them away, and they come back two minutes later and show you your grave. Then you have to make sure certain things happen over the next 30 years to prevent a paradox that could destroy the universe.

The respect and family... Dom Toretto would be proud

Honestly the vulture messed up the moment he played his hand in the car. Honestly Peter could have stopped him right then and there.

Fun fact; when I was watching the movie at the theater, the audio got cut off when the plane crashed, everyone thought it was one of those "character gone deaf from a loud noise" moments, until subtitles showed up on the screen, us still not hearing anything, the staff had to pause the movie and fix it

honestly forgot how hot Peter's first gf was lmao but this gave me a new appreciation for Michael Keaton's vulture. he's just a Family man

Parker: the name is Spider-Man and don't forget the HYPHEN!

3:25 Obadiah would be furious
